It's important to use what is prescribed to you by your hearing professional. The open domes let sound in and out naturally if your hearing loss is mild to moderate. Closed domes have a little bit of opening and are used more for moderately severe to severe hearing losses; the the power domes completely close the ear canal and are also for moderately severe to severe losses, especially in the low frequencies. I hope that helps.

The cerushield is only used with the Phonak M aid.

I don't have any problems taking blood pressure with hearing aids on.
