Colorful and Educational Book
I ordered it for as 10 yr old granddaughter as a Christmas gift. The quality is very good, and pictures colorful and the information is fantastic. I want my granddaughter to learn about the Bees and Butterflies. I also gave her the Butterfly book. Very informative and easy to read, can be for all ages. Inspires Readers
The best series ever for young readers. It is very hard to find books for young readers that are based on the natural world. The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the creatures, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the animal, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these books for my classroom. Highly recommended!

Fun for adults too
I enjoyed reading this book before I gave it to my great niece for Christmas. Very informative.,We had quite a lively discussion about her future goal to be a bee keeper.

Great for Readers Workshop
We were gifted a subscription to Nat Geo Kids and my son (5yr old) has really enjoyed it. He is a pre-reader but has been able to decode some words. The print is a perfect size and there are just enough words on the page. It's perfect for his comprehension level. He is about to turn 6, very interested in nature and does have a slightly higher comprehension level than most kindergarteners but I would still say it's appropriate for younger readers.
