Can these be used in swimsuits?

YES! I bought them to replace the cheap ones that came with the suits. I absolutely love them! They keep their form so nicely! I am going to order more for all my swimsuits!

Would these work for an A cup size?

Yes. They fit inside a bikini top perfect. I had no problems at all with them moving or sticking out. Very lightweight.

will these pads cover nipples for inserting inside a bra?

Yes. I put them in sports bras to avoild nipple show-through. They are very effective. I am completely satisfied with this brand/product.

How thick are the inserts approximately?

They are the typical pad insert thickness I guess you could say. 1 will cover imperfections. I use 2 for a little more projection after a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Hope this helps. I love mine. Wear them almost every day. Oh they are definitely larger tho which is why I bought them. Instead of little circles they cover your whole area.
