Gorgeous ink. Possibly limited use cases because of Diamine's low tolerance for water.
A lovely shade. Writer's Blood is a dark, kind of purplish red, but doesn't scream "red" like a brighter red would. I read a lot of reviews of the color and brand before purchasing, and the ink matched my expectations. It flows well in the Lamy pen I'm using. I use cheap paper so I'm not the best for an ink-review, but I'm happy with it. It is not water-fast and will smear and wash when wet, but that is a known expectation with the brand so I knew that going in, and use it appropriately with that in mind.

Beautiful Blood!
Could not be more satisfied! Absolutely beautiful color coming through the 14k nib on my Pilot 95s. I was looking for a blood red ink and the Diamine does not disappoint!

The most beautiful color , extremely wet
The most beautiful color it looks almost black in low light ,and dark blood red in bright light. This ink is very temperamental ,and wants very compressed paper due too being extremely wet or it will feather. A very expressive ink in a quality flex nib as examples shown in different lighting

My favorite ink (so far)
My first ink from Diamene and “wow.” I’ve always liked the ox blood color on leather in car interiors and furniture in general but for paper I wanted similar but different. Like an ox blood with a little dirty motor oil and maybe some rust in it, you know? This shade is perfect! It nailed the above vibe flawlessly. It’s a serious red that looks awfully like dried blood. As if Van Gogh dipped a quill into the stump that was his ear to pen a love letter he knew would go unrequited. It looks great on paper and is also a solid choice for birthday and holiday cards. It gets your attention without demand. And while I’ve hardly used any of it from this bottle I should soon order another just to know that more is at hand.

Creates an appealing deep red-purple color
is a steal for how much your getting and for the quality of ink. I've only owned 3 bottles of ink since I'm new to fountain pens. But it maybe my favorite color so far. Creates a wonderful deep red-purple color. No problems with consistency or ink flow. But maybe that has to do more with the type of pen and nib your using. The pen I'm currently using it for the Asvine 800 with medium nib. It does come out wetter compared to my other 2 ink bottles. One is from this same brand and the other is from Pilot. No problem with bleed-through but again I'm using high quality, bleed-resistant paper. Great ink and will buy it again in the future

Fixed My Slow/Dry Nibs
I had two pens that could not pass enough ink to write. Both had Fine nibs ì was ready to go to work on the nibs and im a rookie. Tried Writers Blood before nib-plasty and both nibs worked, and continue to work beautifully. Sooo, before you tear up your nibs, give Writers Blood a try. And don’t worry about the red color, it’s not an obnoxious red it’s more low key red. I recommend it for slow/dry nib performance.

Quality ink but not the color for me.
Ink flows great! Color is a rust brown, while some people like this i find it not the color for me. I am going to choose another Diamine color as the ink is good quality.

All my letters are now written in blood, Writers Blood!
I am in love with this color! It's so rich and vibrant. It's a break from the traditional black and blue yet has dark tones that are easy in the eyes to read! I love to experiment with new inks for my relatively new fixation and addiction to fountain pens. So as I continue on this journey, I'm certain I will find other colors that are appealing but red has always been my favorite and this particular writer's blood red is to die for no pun intended!!! At 60 years old and a man who has worked an industrial plants most of my life, my hands show the wear and tear but to this very day I am complimented often on my very neat cursive handwriting. So once I was introduced to a fountain pen, the way I right now seems even easier and to me. It looks far better than with the standard gel pin that I was so in love with before. This particular bottle was affordable, but I can see down the road how the expenses will add up for something that many consider a novelty. It would be nice to buy small sample packs to test the particular color and the texture of the ink lays down on paper. For now as I can afford them, I will buy an individual bottle so is not to exhaust my checking account. This is a definite buy.

Humour

I love this ink
the ink AMAZING! bedt match for my Pilot E95s. it's somewhat a wet ink, and a little bit purplish burgundy color which is why I love it. I wish I could post a photo to show how lovely it is.

My new favourite - like writing on velvet glass.
Really excellent ink, well behaved, looks great and much easier to clean out than many inks. It takes 10-20 seconds to dry depending on the paper and works well with most nibs. This provides the smoothest writing experience of any ink I have tried. It’s just a delightful feel. There is a subtle sheen and more interesting and complex colour outcomes than the other inks in this colour group. It has a distinct red tint to its base and very sharp and clear presentation.
