Do you need a bobber? Or just reel it in ? Or both?

Depends I use a small split shot on line just for further casting

Does anyone know what the weight rating on the line ties and hook eyes? Don't see in desc. Or, if info unavail, any 20+ lbs caught with these?

Not sure about precise weight/poundage rating on hook & tie rings. But close examination shows this are sufficient to handle 20 to 40 pound fish.

what colors is everyone doing good on for bass?

Jigheads with a reddish worm and go after my spinbaits no matter what color Weight of the jigs will bring your lure closer to the bottom and help casting distance
