Shiitake Mushroom (Lentinula edodes) Liquid Culture Syringe Sample for Mushroom Cultivation Growing on Agar or Grain

I am totally new to growing mushrooms, I have only grown oyster mushrooms I came in a prepacked mushroom bag. Trying to grow shiitake mushrooms from mycelium has been amazing it really is quite beautiful. I started this journey with a rice packet, once that Rice packet was full of mycelium I inoculated a hardwood substrate. This is quite time-consuming but worth it. I ordered this strain of shiitake completely by accident, it's most resistant to contamination. I am currently waiting for my substrate to pin in my window. I know I will buy more mycelium cultures from this company

Slower growth but it's steadily overtaking the agar. No contamination present, currently growing in mini agar cups full of malt & agar. Gonna make plug spawn for some logs I have.

Didn't work at all,

first thing I did was place it on agar and it took off good and now have 4 jars of grain full and 4 five pound bags of masters mix doing well at these stages

Ordered and came well packaged, I injected into a mushroom package and stuck it in a dark closet. Checked on it a few times, last time I looked the mice had gotten to it and chewed their way into the rice. I hope they choked on it, little bastards.

I've ordered from this company a few times and in the past had an error with my order and right away they sent me what I originally ordered. Products have always come in a timing process as well as quality. Definitely recommend ordering products from them!

Growing well in liquid culture and grain spawn.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: bought 2, both were DOA. 2 weeks later no sign of inoculation. may be just this variety, portobellos grew fine
