I needed a journal with lots of pages for taking notes during my 1 year Chronological Bible study - I normally buy Tomoe River journals mainly because of the paper quality but did not want to spend the extra money on one at this time so I took a chance on this B6 size with 400 pages. I love it! It's completely flexible and is apparently well binded because there's no sign of a loose page or gap anywhere. Though the paper is not Tomoe River and is not quite as thin as that, it is exceptionally smooth and silky and appears to be high quality. I have not tested it with different inks yet so I can't attest as to bleed through but I do not anticipate any problems with that. I got the square graphed paper and the squares are perfectly even and subtle enough that there's no distraction while writing. The company showed concern that my purchase was satisfactory and that is a big plus! This is a wonderful high quality journal for a decent price and I'll be ordering another one soon. Don't hesitate choosing this - if you are an avid writer, note taker or Journaling addict, you won't be disappointed.

Exactly the kind of size, flexibility and binding cover I needed for my leather journal cover. The magnetic bookmark was also a nice touch.

Wonderful form factor, they roll up beautifully and take a battering. The paper however bleeds through terribly with every fountain pen and ink combination that I've tried. These notebooks are not cheap, and no good for fountain own use at all. I think they'd be great for pencil or Biro use. Two stars because the description said they were fountain pen friendly.

It's a $40 notebook. What else is there to say? It isn't worth it.
