Nice budget carving hatchet
This hatchet says economy in the name so you know it will take a little work to set it up but when you do it works very well. I was looking for a European style carving hatchet for making spoons so I ordered this one. It needed to be sharpened and cleaned up a little bit after half an hour of set up it was working well. I'm not sure how well it will stay sharp after a lot of use but after half an hour of spoon carving it still had a good edge. Nice handle and good balance. I think this would make a good starter hatchet for someone getting into spoon carving.

Very good tool steel at am great value.
The Muller hatchet is the working mans tool. Once sharpened the hatchet will hold it's edge. Along with my adze this hatchet are the tools I am using to build a replica dugout canoe at a state park. it is a pleasure to use good tools for this project.
