I have made better litter box choices. Quality of the box is just ok. The door does not fit as tightly around the opening as pictured, so odor control will not be at it's best. It came with no charcoal filter, which I found to be a little irritating. The product says uses Fresh Kitty charcoal filters, and from a pretty extensive Internet search, I could not find the filters... this means buying another brand, and cutting them to fit as the opening is not a "standard" size.

My cat is about 13 lbs and fits in here no problem. He seems to be enjoying it.

From the pictures, this looked like a great product - very similar to another litter box that my cats actually use. Unfortunately, it was poorly made and the door wouldn't stay attached to the hood. Within five minutes of opening the box, I knew I would have to return it. I'll pick up a litter box at the pet store, in person, from now on.

It does not measure up to the other similar products I have bought. The reason I did not purchase those is they are discontinued. This one is extremely light-weight and the top does not clamp on as securely as others. It is not as big as advertised, either. The measurements are not as advertised. It is ok for a cat under nine months old; otherwise, an older cat needs the lid off, which defeats the purpose of a lid with a flap. Be aware.

Litter just slides out. My cat is rather large, so this size is purr-fect for her.
