My old laptop bag (Wenger) eventually gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service and I was about to buy another but a work colleague has a leather satchel kind of bag which I like so I thought I would investigate laptop bags in leather for a change. I came across this one with an extremely good write up and favourable reviews. I am very impressed - from the box that it arrives in, to the packaging and care that the bag has been wrapped in. This thing oozes class. The workmanship is top notch and the smell..........wow! There is enough room for my laptop (Microsoft Surface 12.45) and will certainly accommodate a larger laptop, my charger, mouse, diary, mobile and emergency charger, all in the main, split, compartment. Then there is another zipped pocket on the front and another on the back. There are also 2x pen holders & 2x pockets in the main compartment. The buckles are magnetic and strong enough to stay closed, the handle looks to be solid and robust and the shoulder strap is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this bag, so much so that I bought the pencil case to go with it that now stores my mouse and mobile WIFI dongle.

This leather satchel is an absolute gem! The rugged, distressed look gives it so much character while still maintaining a professional appearance. The capacious main compartment easily fits all my daily essentials, including my iPad Pro, iPad mini, and two A5 notebooks. What really sets this bag apart are the thoughtful details. The padded interior pocket provides perfect protection for my devices. The external zippered pockets on both the front and back offer quick access to frequently used items. The quality of construction is outstanding - every stitch and zipper feels built to last. After using it for work, I'm impressed by how well it stands up to daily wear and tear. It's developing a lovely patina that only adds to its charm. For the price, this bag is an incredible value. It has the look and feel of a much more expensive designer piece. Whether for work or travel, this satchel is a versatile, stylish, and practical choice. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

This is a lovely quality product, with great quality soft leather, with a wonderful smell on opening the box. Liked very much the magnetic fastenings, meaning when in a hurry to open, as often am when in back to back meetings, the front can be promptly flipped open with no need to locate or fumble with fastenings. The product arrived in a quality box too, complete with a card thanking for the purchase, which I thought was a nice touch, and a notification that some of the funds raised from the purchase will be offered to charity. Sadly though, the leather was too well treated with oil, (darkened almost to saturation), meaning that when carried with the shoulder strap there is the possibility that light coloured clothing could be stained. As the shoulder strap will primarily be used in favour of the carry handle, the bag was returned.

Below is a very slightly edited version of a letter I sent to Moonster, unsolicited. I never write reviews, but I was so pleased with this bag I felt it only fair to spread the word. "I am writing to tell you how pleased I am with your leather messenger bag that I bought off Amazon last Autumn (16 Inch Laptop Bag, order # [redacted]). It’s not just because it’s functional, with solid straps, the right compartments, sizes, etc. Nor is it just because it looks so good (I have received more compliments on this bag than any other I have owned). It’s because of its *durability*. Let me explain. A little while ago I was about to drive from home to a cafe to get some work done (and have a coffee, naturally). Of course, I had my Moonstone bag with me, filled with my road warrior items: iPad, iPad keyboard, Apple Pencil, “Tens” sunglasses in case, notebook, pen, battery pack, lightning cable, wallet, business card case, etc. On approaching my car in the drive, I saw that my wife’s car was blocking me in. So I put my bag down in front of my car, Got into her car and moved it to an on-street parking spot, went back to my car, and drove off. Almost immediately, I heard a strange scraping sound. After driving 100 ft or so, I stopped, looked in my rear view mirror, and saw something brown lying in the middle of the road. Had I hit an animal?! No, thank goodness. But then the horror of what actually had happened hit me: I had forgotten to pick up the bag I had left in front of my car, and that lump in the road was my Moonster messenger bag, dragged under my car for 50 ft or so! With that sinking feeling in my gut, I got out of the car (it’s a good thing we live on a sleepy residential drive) and walked back to retrieve my bag, prepared for the worst (and, to be honest, very embarrassed at my mistake). I picked up the bag - it was intact! I examined the contents — everything was there and, to my shock and amazement — NOTHING WAS BROKEN. Not the iPad screen, not the delicate Apple Pencil, not even the Tens sunglasses (although the case they were in was slightly crushed). I was so relieved, and decided right then to send you this note of appreciation. I attach some photos of the bag as it is now [I am not attaching these to the review because I don't want people to mistake them for photos of the bag as it arrived from Moonster!]. You can see that it is simply just a little more distressed than before, with some slight damage to the outer pocket zip and leather right above that. I’m also missing one of the circular snap covers (you don’t happen to have a spare I could buy from you, do you?). But given that the bag WAS DRAGGED FIFTY FEET OR SO UNDER MY CAR, I consider these to be minor blemishes, and continue to use your bag daily. Thank you for such a great product."

Opener the Amazon delivery box and was met with another box.... yes a gift/display/storage box. Opened that and faced with that familiar leather smell as well as a beautiful messenger bag displaying. I would put a pic on here but i think that would destroy the surprise. We have had a quick look as it is a gift but it is very well made and the 15" laptop easy to put in. There is lots of space for other stiff and a divider to separate the laptop from it. The front is poppers rather than straps but you can't tell from looking at it. Despite my son, who it's for, being an aerospace student I am hoping this Indiana Jones bag gives him the same exciting adventures in life as Indie! Long live adventure!!!!!

Looks classy, and impressive. It had a strong leather smell when it came but I kept it in my work room for two days and the smell disappeared. Carry it for work and at airports and fits my laptop, charger, phones, passport, kindle and has space for more

Gedigen väska i äkta läder. Köpte denna då jag märkte att det var samma märke som journalen jag hade innan (Moonster). Väl värd sitt pris, har fack för en bärbar dator dessutom.

Çok kaliteli çanta. Ürün tam belirtlien tarihte teslim edildi. Macbook Pro 16 inc bilgisayarım rahatça sığdı. Kaliteli gerçek deri. Tavsiye ediyorum. Özellikle şunu belirtmek isterim. Çantayı çok güzel bir kutu içinde göndermişler. Ambalajı bile çok sağlam ve özenli.

Para mi gusto, algo retro, es fenomenal. Huele a piel, como no puede ser de otra manera, q se suaviza mucho en pocos días.

The messenger bag is well made and beautiful. However it is too large for what I need. I will be returning it. Hoping they make one a little smaller.

I like the bag a lot. It looks good, it is functional and comfortable to wear. If there is one criticism, it is that the inside of the bag is not fully enclosed. I'm afraid that in a rain the inside might get flooded. You can see on the attached picture how the sides are open which will be an issue during a rain. This is not an issue when I wear it on the shoulder strap, because that pulls the sides in. That said, almost all leather shoulder bags I've seen are like that. I read some reviews that say the bag does not stay closed. I've been using it daily for about a month now and never had this issue. Overall I am very happy with the bag.
