In America they use high quality Arabica beans (bean size is 50-60% bigger than what is being sold in India). Reason: to keep the price low in Indian market.Hence Indian packet is more acidic, bitter and a bit less in aroma. But overall it is still better than most Indian coffee brands in the Indian market that I have used so far.

Excellent coffee. Strong, creamy and well-balanced without being overly bitter. The flavour feels rich and luxurious, and comes quite close to the European café-style coffee.The trick is brew properly - to use the espresso machine properly - fine grinding, the right tamping pressure, good quality water, and correct dilution.When done right, it produces a thick and a full-bodied cup.

I tried so many brands like blue tokai, black baza coffee, seven beans etc. But I was unable to extract great shots. After opening the package, I was able to produce good espresso shots with crema only first or second shots then it started losing its taste and crema quality. I thought maybe I did some mistakes in the process then I tried changing the grind setting and also tried some experiments with the tamping and brewing time also but still couldn't extract quality shots. Then I finally found this lavazza beans. I am very much satisfied with the quality. I have been using this beans for couple of weeks and I am still able to produce great crema espresso shots. Now I don't have to worry about grind setting and tamping. It produces great crema shots. I thunk it's perfect beans for any espresso machine. I will stick to this beans. I have been a fan of the gusto crema for more than a year now. This has always been on my shelf as my primary coffee for it amazing taste and aroma. But the latest batch that was sent, I think, has been roasted a bit too dark. It is giving a burning smell after extraction, I also tried lower extraction temperatures and the extract is coming just bitter.

Rating: 3/5 for wrong product description versus actual product and mild taste.While the coffee product description and title says 'Medium Dark' roast, it is more dark roast since you cansee how shiny the coffee bean is. Medium roasted coffee beans dont shine if at all.Pros:1. Has a lingering taste of coffee despite not having a strong taste which is satisfying for some except those who are used to strong coffee flavors2. Due to mild nature, it does not cause fatigue or cause too strong insomnia issues like other dark coffee variants (for people with insomnia or insomnia symptoms)3. My coffee beans were uniformly roasted (cant really speak in general but other reviews indicate the same)4. Coffee bean had a rich aroma, just a one and a quarter teaspoonful grinded and put in hot water and the fragrance emanated throughout the house. Definitely a good sign of richness and freshness5. When considering darker side roasting, the seeds I got had a good amount of shine and the oils were very visible in the coffee surface. Very satisfying and lingers with the exact taste for a bit after drinking unlike extreme local varieties which tend to have the bitterness aftertaste for a long while which I strictly stay away fromCons:1. Was more towards dark instead of medium roast (I ordered since I wanted it like in the product picture which is proper medium roast)2. Taste was a bit milder than I thought. I will try it with a bit more finer grind (have yet to test with french press to see added flavor from pressurized coffee decoction) and update the review
