Quite safe and effective
I did my homework before buying this. It's well made, simple to use, easy to clean and the vegetable holder works. Other makes appear to have far less effective vegetable holders by the looks of it hence watch your fingers if you buy them. Blade can be removed if you wanted to sharpen it yourself and I believe you can buy replacement ones. The kids love the fries I can make now!
