Dap 10.1OZ Alex Plus White Latex Caulk

My husband purchased this DAP Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulk and as usual, it’s a great product. He’s used DAP for years and always recommends it for household projects. I’ve used DAP Alex Plus for years, and it never disappoints. This caulk is perfect for sealing gaps around windows, doors, baseboards, and trim. Used for repairing hiking shoe linings

I am not a handyman (I am an old lady who has a lazy old husband). When grout starts cracking and coming away between ceramic tile, I got this Caulk (didn't need a caulking gun), cut open the tube, USED MY FINGER and applied the caulk wherever it was coming away from the tiles (which are off white - old grout is off white). USED A CLEAN POPSICLE STICK to smooth the caulk out between the tiles. Sprayed some Windex on a paper towel and cleaned any caulk that smeared. PERFECT! Didn't have to pay a "handyman" to come and do it and charge me a lot of money because this is time consuming. Then, after caulk dried, I put a little "Old English furniture oil" on a Q-tip and water and went over the white caulk to make it look more "off white" to match the older caulk. GREAT JOB, if I do say so myself!

Excellent price for a 40 year caulk. Not really sure if it would hold up for 40 years but it does hold up well. I have used DAP forever and will continue to use it but just wanted to offer a slight warning. I kind of think these might have been sitting around for awhile in a non climate controlled area. Still worked out great but i noticed the vert tine dried pieces mixed in. You don't see them with every squeeze but they are there. I also had a bit of hardened caulk around the plunger. Not a big deal and not worth returning but if you are picky you might want to take a look inside the tube around the plunger. If you see dried caulk, than expect this minor issue. Otherwise its a great product that i will continue to use and recommend.
