2020 Apple MacBook Air with Apple M1 Chip (13-inch, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage) (QWERTY English) Space Gray (Renewed)

I’m very pleased. I was nervous of spending over £500 on a used machine, especially one four years old, but it’s almost immaculate, with just one tiny little scratch on the cover, of about 3 or 4mm. Battery health is at 98% which is great for the age. Never used Mac or MacBook before, and I’m blown away by its capabilities. The Apple Intelligence is brilliant, and the trackpad is genuinely useful - so many useful gestures/shortcuts at the swipe or pinch of the fingers. And I love the fingerprint reader access. It’s possibly slightly slower than my gaming pc, but that has 64mb of ram and a 12gb GPU. This doesn’t mean the MacBook is slow, just that there’s a pause of a few seconds for Word to open, for example - it’s not instant. However, the fact that the machine is ready instantly when you open the lid more than makes up for that. No boot up time at all. Setup was a doddle. Took an hour or so, but that was partly due to the downloading of updates. It’s a lot of money to pay for a four year old machines but I have no regrets. Very good value for money.

My laptop arrived on time and very protected. it would have taken a major knock to damage the laptop. The device itself is in excellent condition (I ordered the best variant) and is a nice grey colour. It works like a brand new laptop. I had ordered one from Back Market but it was damaged, not a fully English keyboard and when I tried to get it repaired, the seller took it back and never reached out until I was refunded. I feel that the amazon team would be far better should I have an issue. The laptop powers on very quickly and has had no issues contacting to my other apple devices (the back market one had issues connecting to iCloud). Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend one if you doubt want to spend £1000+ for a brand new one. Having used a brand new 2025 MacBook, unless you're wanting to push it to its absolute limits you won't notice a difference.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service and mediation provided by the Amazon team regarding this matter. As you can see from my account history, I have transacted over £8,000 on Amazon UK in the past three years and continue to rely on Amazon as my primary marketplace. I have never been a difficult customer and have always engaged with Amazon in good faith and with mutual respect. However, this experience has severely shaken my confidence. I purchased a refurbished laptop from Otal in August last year, which remains under its one‑year warranty. While I was working on it, the screen began malfunctioning and eventually went completely blank. There is no external damage to the device, and as advised by the seller, I connected it to my TV via HDMI—yet there was still no display. This clearly indicates an internal hardware issue, not external damage. I have been raising this issue with Otal since February, but I have been met with dismissive behaviour, lack of concern, and no genuine attempt to resolve the problem. Instead, they have repeatedly tried to shift the blame onto me and insist that I pay for “screen damage,” which is simply untrue. I have the laptop in its current condition as proof. I am prepared to provide fresh photos and videos of the device if required. However, at this stage, I expect Amazon to intervene and ensure that either: 1. I receive a full refund, or 2. Otal repairs the laptop at their full cost and returns it to me. I trust Amazon will uphold its commitment to customer protection and resolve this matter promptly. Regards, Shobhit Bajpai

I was a bit hesitant to buy a refurbished mac, but it has honestly been the best purchase. I bought the excellent version, and it’s literally good as new. I got 100% battery health, with 32 cycle count which is amazing! I use my mac for university mainly, and a bit of everything else so it’s very handy. I knew I didn’t need to invest in something spenny for myself (like the recent models), and this has really lived up to beyond my expectations. It does have the tiniest scratch on the apple logo, but it’s not an issue at all. It does come with an “admin” account that you need to log in to, but make sure to delete that and reset your Mac for the sake of safety as you want to input your own details. (They give you the password) Easy to set up, connect, good overall!

Amazing condition, one small scuff on the side but not noticeable and I plan to buy a case anyway :) One thing is that the charger doesn’t work properly- only works at a certain angle. Aside from that this is very good for the price! We’ll see how it does over the weeks. edit: it’s been a year and 4 months, still runs great. love this laptop. also charger did work lmao

I don't leave reviews all that often but this is worth it! For the price, this is unbeatable value! Got the device in acceptable condition which turned out to be better than expected and with 94% battery health?!! Bargain, delivered quickly, well packaged and great device... Don't know what else you could ask for in a small form factor MacBook air!

Works exceptionally

My MacBook Air was delivered in a brand new condition, well packed and worked straight out of the box. It's fantastic for apps such as Chordify and Zoom as the sound quality is good. I use it a lot for remote music lessons with GarageBand and find it simple to set up and use. It was a good price and exactly what I needed. I'm happy with the colour and build quality. I would buy again.

Bei geringerer Belastung kann der Akku sogar noch länger durchhalten. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Grafikkartenleistung des M1-Chips. Spiele und grafikintensive Anwendungen laufen auf diesem MacBook überraschend gut, was für ein ultradünnes Gerät dieser Größe außergewöhnlich ist. Die Integration von Hardware und Software funktioniert perfekt, und es gibt keinerlei Verzögerungen oder Ruckeln. Insgesamt ist das M1 MacBook Air ein wahres Kraftpaket in einem ultraleichten, dünnen Design. Bin mit der Qualität sehr zufrieden. Alles läuft einwandfrei und der Akku ist auch in gutem Zustand. Die Preisleistung ist hier wirklich vollkommen in Ordnung, vor allem, wenn man sich die normalen Apple Preise anschaut.

Der Artikel hatte riesige Dellen, die man aus 3 km sehen konnte. Es fehlte quasi eine gesamte Ecke, die 1 cm tief weg war. Es war alles zerkratzt, der Bildschirm hatte eine gesamte defekte Ecke. Auf dem Computer waren eingebrannt Sticker Rückstände, die nicht mehr entfernen werden konnten. So etwas kann man doch nicht verkaufen.

Ho acquistato questo MacBook Air ricondizionato (modello di circa 5 anni fa) e posso dirmi molto soddisfatto. Nonostante l’età, la batteria ha ancora una capacità del 92%, davvero sorprendente! La tastiera sembra nuova, il sistema è fluido e reattivo, perfetto per un utilizzo quotidiano. Con un uso medio di 2-3 ore al giorno (email, Word, Safari, senza modalità risparmio energetico), la batteria mi dura tranquillamente fino a 3 giorni. L’unico aspetto che non ha rispettato le aspettative è stato il grado estetico: avevo acquistato un modello classificato come “eccellente”, ma il dispositivo presentava diversi graffi e un’ammaccatura visibile a circa 15 cm. Tuttavia, ho contattato il venditore Plunc™ Tech Recycling e si è dimostrato estremamente disponibile e professionale: mi è stata offerta la possibilità di ricevere un rimborso parziale in base alle condizioni estetiche reali (opzione che ho scelto), oppure la sostituzione o il rimborso totale restituendo il prodotto. Alla fine, vista la qualità tecnica del prodotto, ho optato per il rimborso parziale e sono pienamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto. Consiglio vivamente questo venditore per la serietà e l’attenzione al cliente.
