can you print the whole ribbon height or only half?

I have a Brady BMP21 handheld label maker that uses these cartridges. It will print a single row of large text or up to four rows of smaller text. It fills the width of the label tape/ribbon you have installed based on the font size you select. The text is centered on the tape/ribbon both horizontally and vertically. Yes, it can fill the width of the tape/ribbon within about 1/8” for the ¾” label (3/32” for the ½” label) at top and bottom based on available font selection.

Which label type do I need for UV and weather resistance?

I have used the high adhesive vinyl label such as the M21-750-595-WT with good success both inside and outside. The 595 denotes indoor and outdoor usage, -40 F to 180 F. I use these labels on all our lab equipment, marking circuit numbers on electrical switches and outlets and so on. I also use them in our hatchery where the temperature averages 78 F and the humidity is between 60-70 %. You can't go wrong with them.
