McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning, 8 oz

A few weeks ago walking through work I smelt something wondering cooking and I asked what it was. They said chicken in the air fryer with McCormick Montreal chicken seasoning, so I had to buy some just from the smell and boy I was not disappointed. What a flavorful seasoning and pairs great with chicken and I would thick the same for other proteins. The ingridents are straight forward, test it on the hand first since sodium is an ingredient. Either fried, oven baked, grilled or air fried it leaves such a delicious taste. Why didn't I find this earlier in life. Salt content is normal (test it first). Great value for the money, no complaints here.

I started using McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning because I wanted a reliable flavorful blend for grilling or baking chicken without measuring out a bunch of separate spices every time. It has quickly become one of my favorite go to seasonings for exactly that reason. This blend is perfect if you do not want to buy and mix everything separately. It combines classic Montreal style flavors like garlic onion black pepper salt dill coriander red pepper and paprika into one convenient shaker. The result is a bold savory garlicky peppery taste with a nice herbal kick from the dill that works amazingly well on chicken breasts thighs wings or even whole roasted birds. It gives that restaurant quality seasoned grill flavor without much effort just shake it on generously before cooking and you get consistent delicious results every time. Whether I am grilling outdoors pan searing indoors or baking in the oven this seasoning delivers. It sticks well to the meat adds great color and aroma and the balance is spot on not too salty not overpowering just right for everyday family meals or when cooking for friends. I have tried making my own Montreal style mixes from scratch with individual spices but this McCormick version saves so much time and tastes just as good or better than my homemade attempts.

Umm what!? Where has this been all my life?? I bought this on a whim as an attempt to bring some life to grilled chicken (which I normally don't care for). This is a game changer!! So yummy & a little goes a long way!! Will definitely buy again!

A delicious and convenient seasoning that adds great flavor to chicken without much effort. The blend is savory, well-balanced, and works especially well on grilled or baked chicken. A handy staple to keep in the spice cabinet.

I bought this seasoning to replace a Lawry's chicken seasoning that is now different than the blend I had been using. So far, I very much like this seasoning for both chicken and pork. This seasoning is good on vegetables and other foods as well. I try to vary the seasonings that I use as to prevent boredom. I have a couple of the McCormick Grill Mates Montreal seasoning, and like them all. UPDATE 09/23/18: I have been finding that I am using this seasoning great for both chicken and pork and it has become my go-to seasoning. I think this seasoning is much better than the Lawry's chicken seasoning that I used previously. UPDATE 04/05/20: I have been using this seasoning for 2 years, and found that it also works well as a rub. I use this one primarily for any kind of fowl or pork. When you bake a turkey or chicken, coat with olive oil, and sprinkle this seasoning on the inside and outside of the bird. The taste of the results is to die for. I have also used this seasoning for baked pork chops and for pork shoulder roasts. For the roasts, I usually coat with oil, liberally sprinkle on the seasoning a cook it in the pressure cooker. The roast is so full of flavor, and the gravy made from the drippings is wonderful. Since I usually have too much gravy for one meal, I freeze what is left and use it later when I need pork gravy. Homemade gravy is so much better and healthier than anything you can buy in the store. UPDATE 8/15/21: I have been using this seasoning for over 3 years for both chicken and pork. I use it for seasoning and also for a marinade. Most recently, my husband bought pork brochettes from a local grocery store. A couple hours before cooking them, I sprinkled this seasoning on them. I grilled them on an indoor appliance and they were to die for. The brochettes were huge, but so good we all of them. We had the same results with chicken brochettes hubby bought. I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update it if my opinion changes or I discover more uses for this seasoning.
