I had a couple of manual Yongnuo flash triggers and I wanted to use them to trigger my camera remotely for some self-family portraits. Canon's wifi-enabled phone app for the 6D is awful to use and set up and I've probably already scarred my family from the anger it has given me in the past. Therefore, I needed a simpler and easier solution. However, I lacked the needed wire to connect the flash triggers to my camera. This item connected perfectly and did the job, so if you're looking for something that works as in my scenario, this is well-recommended.
