U Type Spade Plug to Female Banana Jack Audio/Video Adapter, 4mm Banana Jack Female to y Type Fork Spades Cable 4 Pack /3inch

I bought these as an elegant solution to connecting modern speakers & cables to vintage equipment. My first and current impression is one of solid build quality and top tier materials. Unfortunately, they are too large to work on my vintage amp’s speaker terminals. I will, however, keep these on hand for binding posts.

THese are of good quality and work as expected

I have a huge collection of integrated amps and receivers from the late 60s to early 80s (the GOLDEN AGE of audio, in my opinion). Many pieces of gear in my collection have screw-type speaker wire connectors, and they are highly problematic. It's easy to short out and damage or kill an amp if speaker wires touch, which can happen if you move your amp around at all. I've done it a few times myself! With this product, you can easily connect your vintage amp to modern speaker using banana jack type speaker inputs. I've also use a different solution (kinda hard to describe, but it an L-shaped connector you screw onto the amp, then the speaker wire goes right in. They do work well - but I'm worried that when I move the amp at all, which is necessary when setting things up in my cramped man-cave for example - that this other plug type product will move out of place and would be in danger of touching. Bad news when the amp is turned on. The brilliant thing about this design is that it puts less strain on the connector when moved, and is great for my peace of mind. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for owners of vintage gear!!

I used these to add banana jacks to some test equipment that only had 8mm diameter posts for clamping down wire. It's a perfect fit. The build quality is really good too, these are robust and durable.

This is a review of the Suanqi y to Banana Female adapterr, 4mm Banana to Spades Speaker Adapter Connectors Plugs Spade Fork opening - 4Pack 3 inches. These Suanqi Spade Fork to female Banana plug adapters work effectively - they provide a solid connection to the screw posts on the back of my hi fi preamp, and also solidly and securely hold the banana plugs in the female receptacles at one end of the Suanqi cables. However, even though the Suanqis work well for the purpose for which they are intended, the descriptions of what you get in this package are misleading - i.e., there are no actual banana plugs included in this set (you have to buy banana plugs to make these connectors work): so, the Suanqis are therefore over-priced. Despite the annoying, sloppy and misleading advertising statements for the Suanqis, the effectiveness of this product, which partly includes the safety I feel it provides, means that I will - begrudgingly - considering buying them again if I need to, and would recommend them to others if no other suitable, cheaper alternative can be found. See below for details. YOU SHOULD KNOW The metal Spade Forks on this set of Suanqi Banana Female adapters measure approximately 8mm from one outside edge to the other other outside edge. I measure the Suanqi cables themselves to be 13.5 cm from the Spade Fork end-to-end. These Suanqis are Model Number W144. PROS - WHAT I LIKE 1. These Suanqi adapters solved the problem I was having in preventing two of the speaker wires on the back of my 1970s hi preamp from touching each other The plastic separators, separating the screw posts on the back of the preamp, have been worn down a little to the point that the speaker wire from the Left side of one speaker was almost touching the speaker wire from the Right side of the same speaker. The Suanqi y to Banana Female adapterrs successfully provide a way of separating these two wires, thereby preventing the speakers from shorting out, and the preamp from potentially being damaged 2. As stated in part of the advertising description, the Suanqi connector cables do provide a solid, secure connection, both when attaching the metal Spade Forks to the screws on the back of preamp, and also in securely holding the banana plugs (which I had to buy) in the female receptacles into which you plug them And, again as stated in the advertising descriptions, the Suanqis are “Made of high-quality materials”, and are of a durable construction standard, which, I believe, will “withstand repeated use and ensure reliable connections” The Suanqis is fairly “Compact”, meaning that they can fit into fairly small spaces - but it should be noted that they are only somewhat flexible, but not fully (this fits with their durable design, and so is not a flaw) 3. I like that the Suanqis are colour-coded - this set contains 2 black and 2 red plug adapters 4. Also as advertised, the Suanqis are easy to install CONS - WHAT I DO NOT LIKE 1. The parts of the advertising description for the Suanqis that describe them as “Banana Plugs” are completely wrong, and therefore misleading - rather, each Suanqi cable in this set of 4 cables, has a Spade Fork metal connector at one end, and a female Banana Plug receptacle at the other end cable 2. One of the advertising descriptions reads, “The plugs feature a simple push-fit design, allowing for quick and hassle-free installation without the need for tools” - this is not quite true, as you will (of course) need a screwdriver to tighten the screws on top the Spade Fork metal tines at one end of the Suanqi connectors 3. Because these Suanqis do not come with Banana Plugs, this set of cables is expensive for what it is, and the set becomes even more expensive given that you will have to buy Banana plugs to plug into the female receptors on the Suanqis

Very high quality

These adapters are really helpful when it comes to connecting some of my vintage speakers. I often swap speakers in and out, so I used banana plugs at the speaker end of my cables, which doesn't always work with vintage speakers. These things make connection much more convenient for me. The ends appear to be well-attached and solid, and the wire itself is of sufficient gauge. Good product for my needs.
