Q: Do they come in different colors to match the house? I’m looking for maroon red.

I didn't see different colors.lisyed as an option.

Q: Can this cover be used while running the unit all year around?

I sure wouldn't recommend it as the air conditioner need a to vent as much as possible. I believe the covers purpose is to add protection during odd season, but I found it so flimsy that it really would not help protect much in the winter.

Protects my investment

It looked flimsy and sheer when I first got it opened up, but as I put it over the AC unit it filled in very well and fit well. Has design that will not allow the AC to be damaged should I forget to take it off. Protected and convenient. I had to modify due to the anchor to my house being in a position that did not fit the cover, but that was trivial.
