These slim flameless rechargeable lighters work great! I bought them for lighting candles and an occasional stove burner. I like the environmental sustainability factor that they are rechargeable and that I don’t have to worry about an open flame. Just slide the button to on and then press the round button and an arc is created and the candle is lit. My family is getting these as stocking stuffers.

The media could not be loaded. These lighters are easy, useful, and a little bit fun. I purchased a pair about 11 months ago and I try to throw out a good review when I come across a product that deserves it. I started using them both immediately for lighting candles and incense which I use regularly. The lighters are extremely easy to use which just requires sliding the power up and pressing the button. It’s so much easier than flicking a BIC! They stay charged pretty well as long as they’re turned off after use. After nearly a year, there’s not much wear and tear although I did just clean the electrodes, or whatever they are, and now the arc works perfectly again. And that’s the thought that made me realize that a 5-star review is in order, and possibly another purchase. I know someone with arthritis that will surely appreciate these.

If you're like me, you probably love candles and have a bunch saved up around your house. I use candles religiously just because I like the house and rooms smelling nice. I got tired of buying the BIC lighters from Target and other stores because they seemed to die so fast. I saw these on Amazon, so I decided to give it a try. The lighters are nice and make lighting up candles fun, but I honestly might just going back to using the BIC candle lighters in the future. I do like that the lighters have the amenity of being rechargeable! Sometimes, I have to angel the lighter next to the wick a certain way to make sure it lights properly. The lighter also makes a high pitched noise when in use. It only sucks for me because I have dogs. Other than that, give it a try if you're looking for a new and different candle lighter.

[One came partially charged (one more than the other). ]They work great. I use them primarily for lighting kerosene lamps. You just have to turn the wick up high enough in the lamp to be able to touch the corner of the wick with the tip of the lighter. They ignite the kerosene lamp wick even more quickly than a match. (They do not work to reach in to the wick of a storm lantern.) It works great for starting other materials like paper or kindling too.They even work fine with moderate gloves on. (Probably not too well with heavier gloves on though.)update:I usually use each of them a few times a day. IT HAS BEEN SEVEN MONTHS SINCE I LAST HAD TO CHARGE THEM. THEY JUST KEEP GOING AND GOING AND GOING!!!!AMAZING!!!

I light candles often and have had the product for a few months and have not had to charge it once! Im really happy to not have to continuously have to buy lighters/refills to light my candles. Super user friendly!

TL;DR: Go ahead and buy this one.This was the first electric lighter I've purchased and I wish I'd purchased and tried the sooner! I'd always just hunted around the house for matches or lighters and even tried (with not great results to refill lighters). That's all in the past now.Skipping photos/videos as others have posted them and the items are exactly as described. They arrived with a charge so they could be used immediately.* Reaching into the bottom of 'Yankee' style candles with a lighter we'd often burn our fingers; now its super easy even when the candle is mostly used up and you need to reach all the way to the bottom.* Tiki torches outdoors with a good breeze blowing, no issue. Easy.* Lighting newspaper to start a wood fire in the burn pile, no problem. Done.The two pack is a great value. The 'locking' feature helps prevent accidental presses of the button when the device is rolling around the 'junk drawer'.If you've read to here, just go ahead and purchase. You'll be glad you did.

I have seen others that light the wick quicker than these do, but they are ok for the price.
