Not really. It uses its own straps. You could probably rig something up if you try. It fit fine with my backpack over it though.

Yes, it will bounce around if you run. Walking is fine.

what's the difference between the rig fit and vest fit models?

Never had vest model. I can say this allows your body to breath an maybe more comfortable it also can be fitted over clothing that you maybe already wearing.
