Not what I expected - good and bad
First, let me say I've been wanting a handheld for a long time. It was an absolute pain using my upright to vacuum all the stairs! Which means the stairs were filthy! :) I was SO excited to get this! Then I received it. And let me tell you, first impressions, I had scheduled a return. Make sure you understand battery powered handhelds BEFORE you buy this and write a crappy review! I have a 3600 sq ft home. I followed the directions; charged for 16 hours, and then let it run all the way out, which only took a few minutes. Ok fine - first charge....I get it. Back on the charger all that afternoon, probably 6 hours or so. My almost 4 year old granddaughter wanted to "help" clean for Christmas; this vacuum is light enough for her to use and - at that age - FUN! So I let her get under the couch and in the kitchen under the cupboards. She kept turning it off and asking, "ok! What next?" And it lasted maybe 5 or 6 minutes. Well, maybe it was the on-and-off-again that killed it. Back on the charger. I tried it the next morning, and it lasted a few minutes. That's it - it's going back. I started a return. After it was charging for probably 20 hours - really folks, I didn't have a stop watch - I decided to give it the old college try and use it again. I got the edging done, the basement stairs, and a bit onto my area rug where I work out before it died. Could it be?? I started doing research on hand helds - Shark, Bissell, Black + Decker - you name it. Guess what?? I didn't find a SINGLE HANDHELD that boasted lasting 20 minutes; even the expensive $80-$100 handhelds lasted only 15 minutes. I'm not sure what my expectations were but I had hoped to edge everything and be able to vacuum the couch, my pupper's couch, stairs ... all in one swoop. Maybe that'll be possible after i get it good and then only have to sweep over it. But the fact of the matter is, whether you spend $35 or $95, you have about 15 minutes of good suction power before they shut off. Ok that's my story and here's my review! Pros: It is great for suction power. It gets the people hair and the pupper's hair very well (my poor husband - there are 4 female humans and 1 female dog in this house; he is the only male and does not shed like the rest of us). The attachments are wonderful! It is very easy to clean: just pop the filter out, shake, and back in. Rinsing it in water and letting it dry is a breeze as well, plus it saves money on buying new filters (i don't know if this is standard in these hand-helds). I like that it has a little wall piece where you can lock in and store the vacuum off the floor/shelf. Cons: Really, B+D, you could have put a little LED for charging. It would have cost 50 cents and you could have charged $5 more for it. I really want to throw charged battery life in here, but I've already covered it and it's redundant. Plastic. I hate plastic parts. The wall piece is plastic and I'm sure will end up breaking. It's not badly designed, but it's plastic! Overall: After educating myself on dustbusters/handheld vacuums, this is a great little vacuum, and especially for the price. If anything is going to change, it really needs to be a charging LED is installed. A battery life indicator would be nice, but since it only lasts 15 minutes, that maybe overkill. I would recommend this and now that I'm more knowlegable about these products, am excited to use it more!

The best hand vac I have ever owned
I have owned perhaps half a dozen hand vacs over the years. This one is by far the best one! Light weight but super powerful & strong suction, and costs less than most others. When I need another one, I will buy this again! I only wish it had a charging indicator light.

Cute, useful, handheld vacuum that does the job for a decent price !
Looove my lil'hand-held B+D cordless vacuum, which I use daily in the bathroom. Fits perfectly in my sink drawer and does the job just fine. Fast shipping, good price, very handy! The only improvement that comes to mind is the actual usage time, which is only 15 min! After that, I have to recharge it for 16 hours, which I do overnight. So only 4 stars for that! Other than that, I am totally happy with my B+D, and can recommend it = THUMBS UP!

Was worth every penny!
I bought this in 2020, its now August 2026 this lil vacuum jus now gave up, lost its suction, for the past 6 years it worked perfectly, jus recently noticed that a full charge wasn't lasting as long as it used to but it was still cleaning like a champ, till today when the motor got noticeably louder and lost its suction. Time to try a newer model 😋

Black & Decker Lithium Dustbuster works for me!
As a pet owner and a person that eats in bed while watching TV--(okay, I confess)--I wanted a dustbuster I could use to pick up crumbs and pet hair. I had never had one due to what seemed like poor reviews, but once the lithium batteries started getting cheaper, I figured I'd look around for an inexpensive one. After reading reviews on various models, I bought the B&D HHVI315JO42 dustbuster because it had enough power to do the job and looked like it was a little smaller/lightweight than other ones. I have had it a little over a month and have been using it a few times a week. I think it's great! I happen to like the fact that it has a shorter nozzle than the model with higher voltage, because I also use it to vacuum my laptop keyboard occasionally and I don't want to have to hold it way up in the air to vacuum. It does not really pick up pet hair as readily as I would like off of fabric, so I leave the attachment with the little brushes on it which solves the problem. You do have to either pick the hair out of the brushes or take the nozzle off and vacuum it, which is not a big deal. It holds a lot of dirt, lasts a long time, has a power switch that stays on until you turn it off and is easy to clean. Plus, it's kinda cute! Some people don't like the fact that it does not have a recharging dock base, but I like that I can just plug the adapter in the wall anywhere and charge it. Once it's charged you should be able to use it several times without recharging it. They do supply a longer nozzle for crevices and a little plastic bracket so you can hang it on the wall if desired. The charging cord is around 6 ft. in length. Update: I've had this little guy for about 3 months now and use it several times a week. I really like it! I'm thinking about getting another one to use to pick up cat litter on the floor (don't want to use the same one I use on furniture even though you can disinfect it) and to vacuum out the car. I might get this one or the model that has a little extra juice, although this one is fine, it takes a bit more muscle to pick up hay and feed out of carpet--even with the vacuum at the car wash. If you are hesitating about getting one of these dustbusters, go ahead. I know, I often have a love/hate relationship with Black and Decker products but this one is worth it. uum

Pretty ok, but only lasted 4 years, fyi
So this lasted 4 years. This morning when I went to use it, it is making a horrible sound. If this were a generic or lesser brand, I would think that was actually pretty good. Considering this is a major brand, however, I feel like this is not nearly long enough. Pretty easy to use, a bit more difficult to figure out the filter situation. It was okay at picking up pet hair, I have 3 cats. The battery life isn't very good. The filters get clogged up very fast and I find that to be a bit annoying. All in all it was not a waste of money and pretty ok for $40.

SO FAR SO GREAT!
I waited awhile before giving my review- 'cause I'm all about giving honest opinions, no bias here. This little workhorse is great for what I need it to be (SO FAR ANYHOW.... with small jobs like vacuuming up seeds, feather dust, crumbs, etc after my messy Cockatiel, lol). And so far the battery has lasted for at least as long as I needed it to, oftentimes with a little power leftover. So, so far so good. I really hope it lasts- I really NEED a "power tool" like this in my life as a busy mum.

Does a great job and saves me time
I've had this for about 2 weeks now and use it daily to vacuum an endless supply of pine needles in our entry, and ashes/wood splinters around our woodstove and hearth. I also found out that my husband used it in the workshop once for picking up heaven-knows-what. We're both really happy with it, it has good suction, is easy to use, and so far the battery charge lasts a LONG time -- I think when I first charged it, I used it daily for about a week before it needed to be recharged (instructions say to let it run down completely the first time you charge it). I find I'm now using it to just pick up loose bits of dog hair, fluff and debris that accumulates on our hardwood floors. We have 5 small dogs and it's keeping up with them!
