Dangerous!
Love this knife. Caution it is very sharp. Kinda clunky when closing keep it away from your body. I accidentally dropped it when closing it and it went right through my shorts and cut my thigh deep. The safety stop to keep you from cutting your fingers off works well. Make sure you have a good grip.

So sharp I had to go to the ER
I love this knife, despite my trip to the hospital. It’s compact, rugged, and sharp. So sharp that right out of the box I cut myself. Note, while closing the knife there is a snag point to keep the knife from closing on your own fingers, good feature, but if you’re not ready for it, it may cause you to drop the knife. Even while sitting cross legged and the knife only falling 6-8 inches it pierced through my foot near my ankle, severing an artery. The knife was so sharp I felt almost no pain, though there may have been some shock involved. I highly recommend the gerber doubledown, just don’t drop it on your own foot.

Impressive!
It's a hefty tool, giving it a solid, well-built feel right out of the box. The knife seems incredibly durable, and the safety features are excellent—you'd have to be extremely careless to cut yourself while opening or closing it. The sharpness of the blade is also top-notch, cutting through materials with ease. However, there is one drawback: the latch that holds the two folding handles together is very difficult to operate. While it's undeniably secure, I find it extremely hard to unlatch without using some tool to assist. The amount of pressure needed to press open the lock with your thumb is almost too much, which can be frustrating in the field. One other minor gripe is the stonewash finish. It's not a dealbreaker, but I would have chosen a different model if I had known more about the appearance. All in all, it's a well-made knife with some minor usability issues, but its sturdiness and sharpness make up for it.

Badass
So in true form fashion within the first hour i took it apart and took the four locks out. Loosened the main bolts and loc tite applied. It is now a giant butterfly knife. And its awesome! One hand operating and the giant lock at the bottom suffices more than enough to keep it closed or open. I will update once i chop or cut brush or branches. But it comes nice a sharp its heavy like its supposed to be for a machete. But yea they could do without the four locks. Its over kill

Is what it says it is
It came sharp oit of the box but with a little tweaking with my stone and wart hog it is razor sharp. Spent the afternoon splitting oak and it went right through it. The more you open and close it the easier it becomes. If yoir interested in bushcraft this is the ticket enjoy.

Great knife
Great knife, makes a small machete to use for cutting brush, bought for turkey hunting but it is heavy, no problems opening or closing, only down side to this is its weight but it has to be for its purpose.

Ugh!
Seemed nice at first glance. Seemed well built. Alas on the one I received I couldn’t get the latch opened it looked to be bent, finally after 10 minutes of fussing it opened! The slot/grove that of latch pushes into also looks bent-uneven maybe pinching latch. After accomplishing the feat of getting the latch open you must apply pressure to all 4 safety locking pins/buttons (2 each side you must push all 4 simultaneously.) A safety feature that seems nice. After over 10 minutes of trying to get that done they open part way and locked again (which is what they’re supposed to do) but then I had to work with them again for another 10 minutes to get them unlocked from the second position to fully opened by trying to get the buttons push correctly once again in as far as I could which seemed to be below the surface to get them to open they just weren’t working consistently. Once fully opened the handle clip/latch which was a pain to get unlatched would now not re-latch to keep the handles together when in the open position. No amount of pressure that I could apply would bring the handles close enough to secure the safety latch in a little grove meant for that purpose . So I used another 20 minutes trying to get the machete stored repacked them and returned them. Were mine a dud possibly were the clearances off maybe. I would like to try another pair but I’m hesitant. Made in the USA
