Gabriel Cosmetics Inc. - Lipstick Sheer Pink 0.13 Oz.

I’ve been a longtime user of their competitor’s product (real purity) which I also like but they seemed to have changed their passion color which I was using, so I tried Gabriel. Pros of Gabriel: the color lasted a lot longer, held up after blotting and eating, and so far at least hasn’t been as mushy as Real purity (whose lipsticks sometimes break off the base.) Also, I like the color options better than the current palette of real purity offerings which seem to be catering to ‘cottage core punk’ or purple haired types. I just want understated roses and pinks for a not overly made up look (and the occasional redder color for the Christmas holiday) and found three understated roses/pink colors in Gabriel. Cons of Gabriel: possibly not as ‘clean’ as real purity (but still better than most lipsticks), and after buying three, sometimes the colors aren’t exactly as expected from the marketing, but once I figure them out it’ll be ok for repeat buying the ones that actually look best. I had the same problem with real purity when I first tried them, but to my knowledge Gabriel doesn’t have cheap samples to try before investing in the actual lipstick tube. Of the three tubes I bought, I can live with Gabriel’s colors that I liked less as they’re still be good for various occasions (one is a little too bright pink but for the spring it will be fine). Real purity has to be used within a couple years or they kind of ‘go off’ as maybe the natural oils in them go rancid just like a food product, which is how pure they are. If it hadn’t been that they changed the color I mainly used (and many of the others on offer are too garish looking for me like bright lavender) I probably wouldn’t have tried Gabriel because I’m a creature of habit. I haven’t had Gabriel lipsticks that long, but I do like the colors and the performance for those occasions when I do wear lipstick. If I have to update I will in the future, but right now I think Gabriel is pretty great.

Says it is sheer pink but it's not. It is a nice bright shade of fuchsia.

Anyone old enough enough to remember that dang movie? Pretty in Pink? Anyway, I love pink lipstick, wearing actual pink tops etc? Not so much...although, considering how pretty I do look in pink, I should buy some pink outfits! But I digress..I really love this natural pink lipstick, as you can see, it goes on a bit lighter than it is in the pictures but that's okay because I can work with that. On days that I want to be more bold, I use my eye shadow palette and put some pink/red on top of this lipstick. Unfortunately the eye shadow palette is not non-toxic but I figure the first layer of this lipstick is natural and chemical free so that's what matters the most. In the pictures, I'm only wearing the lipstick au natural, no matted eye shadow on top of it. I love how creamy this lipstick is, how nice it smells or rather doesn't smell or taste! You know..that chemically awful taste that crappy lipticks have but they're pretty enough to justify the fake taste/smell? Well you don't have to worry about it with this brand. Those are all the pros! Now, the cons :-( I hate spending $20 on a lipstick, I'm cheap (in a good way ha ha) and I wish it was about half that price. But I've had it since June and it's now August and I wear it about 5X a week so? It's (or I am) worth it!!

I am in love with the shade Sheer Pink! I have tried many brands and shades of lip stick and this is my favorite. Sheer Pink is the most lovely and rich pink color. Very glam and feminine! Depending on the lip liner I wear underneath I find it can change the undertone or brightness slightly from a cool bubblegum pink to a rosy pink. This shade is extra long lasting on me and I love the formula! I am going to wear this shade all the time.

this lipstick gives me an indomitable edge, it's literally perfect. It's got that shimmer that's hard to find. It's got a "tattoo-like" stain which is very desirable and doesn't come off after eating. the secret is to leave it on undistrubed for at least an hour, over dry clean lips. boom. you got yourself a gorgeous pink stain on the lips themselves . So even after the lipstick comes off you're still looking awesome. I've been buying this lipstick for almost 10 years. I will tell you a secret....it used to have a rose essential oil in the formulation, and it used to smell like roses when you applied it, which i deeply, deeply miss. But it is still NUMBER ONE. thank you gabriel cosmetics for making this masterpiece with no crap like talc too.
