An excellent camera.
I have owned many cameras over the last 40 years. I am only an amateur photographer (although my photos have often been praised by those I share them with), so I have no pretensions to being an expert. What I can say is that this camera, in combination with a Panasonic 12-60 mm zoom, has rendered some of the nicer quality photos that I have taken. I suspect that the lens and body stabilization has something to do with the sharpness of the photos. I am also seeing much less chromatic aberration than I have seen in many other cameras. I bought a Kindle book by David Thorpe which was of great assistance in setting my camera up. The camera body is very well built and its size and weight are very good for the travel photography that I enjoy. The capabilities of this camera are extraordinary. I am not a video person, but the limited clips I have taken have been excellent. The options available to a stills photographer are seemingly endless. After several months I am still discovering options that are new to me and require exploration.

Best 4K camera for the price.
While I can't say for sure that it's the best for the price (as I'm now very biased), this is at least a huge steal for the price. I'm been pleasantly surprised with the video and even photo quality from this little camera (and the silent shutter is awesome too, love using that). The IBIS is spot on when using any non-native, non-IS lenses. 4K video is EXCELLENT and it's been pairing nicely with my Sony A7rii camera. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: Mine came setup with PAL so I had only 25fps available. Get on Youtube and there's several guides to help you make the switch. I now get 4K at both 24p or 30p. NEXT, there's a way to UNLOCK D-CINE profile on this also with the help of Youtube. For $500 I don't think you'll get better than this! I would get another one in a heart beat.

Great camera, but Amazon Warehouse Deal versions have issues
Great camera, but I went through two via Amazon Warehouse Deals. The first was flakey (locking up while shooting) and had a spot on the lower right of the sensor. The second has a similar same spot---trust me, I tried different lenses and subjects on both bodies. However, it was a good price and the spot only becomes an issue when shooting above f/18, which is very rare for me, so I decided to make do.

HOLY WOW!!!
I have had this camera for three days now and this camera is insane, boy does it pack a punch in a small lil camera. I want the G85 now too. I cannot believe how well this camera handles, I would give it ten stars if I could. I am able to get shots very close to how they look with my fly cam. I think I will be using this camera a lot more then my AF-100's. Excellent job Panasonic.

Nice balance of features for travel
I'm a fan of panasonic "Lumix" series cameras. This one is no exception. The menu systems if easy to master. Options in "scene" mode are useful when travelling and popping off pictures. The camera is larger than a regular point and shoot and smaller than a DSLR. I use it with a 16-30mm lens on trips and drop it into my vest or cargo pants pocket. It has good balance and is a pleasure to use with the range finder. I would highly recommend for travel if you don't mind the extra size,

Excellent performance with some usability issues
Based on its performance I would have given it a five star rating. But there are some usability issues. Like many products today, this one suffers from a features glut: it just has too many options, with no really good and consistent interfaces. Some features have dedicated buttons, some are invoked via menus, others require you to turn or press a wheel. It is very difficult to remember all these interfaces, let alone use them in the field. It is easy to press the wrong button and find yourself in an unfamiliar environment; one good feature, though: you can extricate yourself from most situations by simply pressing the shutter release button halfway, which returns you to normal shooting mode. I have found that the shooting-mode wheel sometimes changes its position accidentally. It is vital to check your settings before every shooting session. Another fault that I find with the camera is that it locks up while storing images longer than some other cameras I have tried. The manual is fairly good, but lacks an index, which is a serious fault. When I first got the camera I found that the white balance settings did not work properly. I exchanged the camera for another specimen which worked ok. I did not penalize the ratings because of that.

Great camera BUT.........
I'll make this review short and simple. Stills and 4K are pretty sweet! Only complain is that when recording videos, auto/continues focus sucks. Even when it's on auto/continues focus mode you will STILL have to do it manually. If not, you'll end up with out of focus videos.

The best mirrorless option
Everything about this camera is amazing: it's lightweight, takes amazing photos, shoots in 4k and includes an amazing array of shooting modes. I did a ton of research into mirrorless cameras before I bought this, and I could not have been happier with my purchase.
