Anyone else notice some of the seals failing in the freezer after a while? I have several that looked good at Sealing and then lost the seal after .

Seems to be inherent within the product. Every brand that I have used does this. I to double seal and try not to get any moisture in the seal. One thing to remember is when frozen and moved around in freezer the bag is easily damaged. I found this especially true when freezing items with sharp bones like porterhouse. The bone hit hard surface and cuts through the bag.

Do they have a notch for easy tear?

Purchased 09/25/2020 (USA). The 200-pack 8" x 12" bags do have an "easy-tear" notch, located, on one side, about 2 inches from the FACTORY-SEALED end (not the open end that you manually seal). The (semi-circular) notch does make it very very easy to tear, especially once you clear the factory-sealed edge. As others have noted, this bag is actually very difficult to tear, but the notch makes it very easy. Note: this notch makes me suspect that if there's any slight tear, rip or cut damage to any portion of the factory-sealed edge, that edge is going to keep ripping open with any handling.

How do these compare quality wise to the food saver brand? and will they work with the food saver machine?
