Will this fit my S & W 1911 pro series? Thanks

I don't own one so I can't say 100%, but if your Smith has a Government-sized (4-5" barrel, full size grips, NOT round-butt/bobtail) grip frame and has the same grip screw spacing and depth as every other Government size 1911, they should fit just fine. If your Smith is an Officer's size (3-31/2" barrel, compact grips) you'll want a set of grips for an Officer's ACP, which the same manufacturer also makes. I have a set of those as well for my Officer's ACP, and they fit fine. If you have a bobtail grip frame, order those instead.

Are these good for left handed shooters even with the big scoop?

If you look at all the grips offered, the mag release cut is on the left side for right handed shooters. If you are calling the mag release cut the big scoop, knowing it is not ambidextrous, the answer is yes.

Will these cool hand grips fit my springfield 5", loaded a-1? are screws going to be a problem? do i need additional washers/rings?

Yes, they will work. They are sized for a full size gripped ,1911. I have these on two different makes , one 5" one Commander.
