works
works very well on dimming the dc feed to led lights, I have 4 of these in use ,using led tape lights and plug in powersupplys really simplified it,kitchen remodel, a wall Switchs to power the outlet above cabinets , 120vac /12dc plug in power supply mounted above cabinets and installed these on the dc side out on the P S, mounted dimmers counter top level , usually leave the dim setting alone No issues, would prefer colors, they work very well .Do Not dim the AC side!

Does not meet the description
The photo shows that it has a switch but then it changed and now shows no switch just a slider. The cost is really high as well.

Best 12 volt dimmer switch I've found.
I used this switch or a 25 foot light string for my patio. I bought the YGS-Tech 12V LED Power Supply 150W, Waterproof Low Voltage Transformer (110 AC to 12V DC) from Amazon and a light string (RecPro RV 25' White Led Awning Party Light with Mounting Channel) from an on line bid site. I first bought another dimmer switch, it's about 2 X 2 inches, has 3 wires and also has an on - off switch ($70) which I could not get to work. Returned it. Then I found this switch on Amazon and it works perfectly. 2 wires in and 2 wires out, couldn't be easier. Mounts in a basic drywall box and fits a regular wall plate. It is also a lot less expensive. Delivery was real quick, 3 days. Highly recommended.

Will definitely order from again!

Flickers when using it with a 24v LED strip
It's really hard to find a good, smooth DC dimmer switch. This one didn't do it for me. I'm using 24v LED strips off a 24v buck converter from my 48v batteries. The LEDs are the only thing running off 24v. When dimming, there is quite a lot of stepping, and every level flickers to some degree, whether it's fast or slow. On very low levels, it's almost like the light is changing intensity levels by itself every half second, even if no one is touching the switch. I previously had a different dimmer switch that didn't do this. Unfortuntely it wasn't a standard box mounted switch like this one. I'm using this for now because I don't have much choice, but I can't really recommend it.

Great little dimmer for making an RV feel like a house
As part of an RV remodel, I wanted to replace all the 12v light switches with Decora style "household switches" (RV switches just feel so cheap!). After searching long and hard, I was able to find very few dimmers that met my criteria. This was the cheapest (and one of very few) 12v dimmers I was able to find. I used it to dim LED 12V can lights and it works perfect! Dims from 0%-100% with no buzzing. Note that, as another reviewer complained, the dimmer moves with relatively little resistance. I find this to be no big deal, as many 120v household dimmer switches feel exactly the same way in my hand. All in all, this little switch is perfect for giving the RV a "like home" feel!
