TAPE HEADS NEED CLEANING ON SONY HANDYCAM VIDEO RECORDERS.
SUFFERED WITH TAPE HEAD PROBLEMS ON MY SONY HANDYCAM DCR-HC-18E.HAD GOT A JVC HEAD CLEANING TAPE, BUT WAS OLD,HAD NOT REALISED PANASONIC AND JVC TAPES HAD DIFFERENT SUBSTANCE ON THEM.NOT THE SAME AS SONY.PUT THE NEW TAPE INTO CAMCORDER, RAN FOR 10 SEC,PUT A NEW SONY BLANK TAPE IN, RECORDED FOR A WHILE. STOPPED IT THEN REPLAYED TAPENO SIGN OF BARS ACROSS THE SCREEN..BINGO NO MESSAGES TAPE HEAD DIRTY OR GREY BARS ACROSS LCD SCREEN.

Excellent product
Excellent product and service. It took five cleans before I realised the camera needed to be in record mode rather than play mode to actually clean heads.. Good efficient supplier would use again.

Does the job, Sony quality, but cheaper elsewhere
Works fine, and I wanted a first-quality Sony cleaner, but having found it on eBay also (where there is a risk the item is 2nd quality) for much lower price, I wonder if I should have gone that way. So only four stars because of the price.
