Petmate Indigo Dog House (Igloo Dog House, Made in USA with 90% Recycled Materials, All-Weather Protection Pet Shelter) for Medium Dogs 25 to 50 pounds

I bought two of these to provide shelter for small goats. Since the goats spend as much time on top as inside, strong is a major requirement. These seem to work.

I bought this for my Pomeranians. I placed it in a 6L x 6W x 4H kennel which sits on patio bricks. The house is plenty big enough for 3 or 4 of my Poms who weigh 3.5 to 6 pounds full grown. It wasn't too big either. This left plenty of room on each side of the house to put my automatic waterer and feeder. I covered the lot in cedar shavings and even filled the house with them, too. Seeing how the house has a deep bottom, it works out great! The cedar keeps fleas, ticks, and even ants away. Being outside... ants like to get in dog food, see. I have to clean this lot once or twice a week. I placed two chain link gates on top of the kennel that are 42 x 72 and tide them down. I figured this would work well in holding up a good tarp. I then placed an 8 x 10 heavy duty canvas tarp on top and ran it down the back for shade and to keep them out of the rain, which I also tide down. So, I really don't know how this house does in the rain because I don't let mine get wet. I liked that it does have an air vet that you can open or close on top for ventilation. I would imagine that this house could get too hot inside if it were sat right out in the sun with no shade. It is very well built. It is also an attractive house compared to some of the others I have looked at. I like how the dog can go back in the round part of the house to get out of the wind or sit in the door opening. The opening is not too big either. I think it will work out really well this winter for them. I liked it so much that I plan to buy another one for my second 6L x 6W x 4H lot as soon as I get it. This set up worked out great for me and my Poms. I am proud of it. The house made it look so nice that I don't mind showing my dogs to anyone.UPDATE: I have had two of these for over two years now and I love them. They have held up through all kinds of weather. They have been chewed on by my dogs and have held up with only minor teeth marks around the doorway. I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. If I ever need any more I will buy the same exact thing, no doubt.

We have two medium sized dogs and got this in the XL size to go in their "play pen" area in the back yard. We were shocked to arrive home one day to find it just dropped in the middle of our driveway up by the house (we live up on a hill, back from the road) on a pallet and wrapped in clingfilm. (And the delivery people broke several limbs off of trees, so it must have been a massive truck that brought it, but I digress!) So prepare yourself for that interesting delivery experience!The igloo comes apart into 2 parts for easy moving. It's not that heavy-- just awkwardly sized, even broken down into the 2 pieces. I like that it has "drains" or "vents" on the bottom in both the front or back, and there is also a vent up top that you can open and close. However, it's pretty small (maybe 5-6" wide and about the size of a finger?) and I'm betting useless. It will be near/at 100 degrees for the next 3 days, and I'll bet even with that thing open, it will be too hot to be in even if they wanted to (we're not putting the dogs out in this heat-- don't worry!).Overall, we really like it, and our younger dog likes it. The older one thinks it's a trap, even with treats to coax her in. They can both get in together and there is still room for another similarly sized dog or two OR an entire grown human. We've laughed about how big it is, but we wanted something they could both get inside in cooler weather. Next step: do we want blankets to put inside (easy to wash) or a bed? Decisions, decisions...

Complaint: I wish the roof of this house extended further out and over the bottom lip more, the way it is now, condensation on a rainy/foggy day can build up on the roof of the house and drip down from the top lip into the actual house itself making the inside wet, its especially awful if my pup happens to move one of her blankets to the entrance, then it gets soaked and there goes the weather protection and warmth I purchased the house for (The house itself is inside a outdoor covered kennel, and still the condensation builds up and drips down the roof). This problem can be fixed completely if the roof extended out further than the bottom lip.Positive: I purchased a medium sized house for my Mini Pin, she is about 5-6lbs, very small toy breed dog. She loves the igloo a lot. I purchsed the pad, placed a lambskin dog bed inside in the back, surrounded that with a few blankets, and use a microwaveable heat pad in the winter and it stays nice and warm and cozy in the back of the igloo. In summer I use a animal safe freeze pad and freezer pack and it stays super cool. It is much larger than a small dog needs, but it gives her space to burrow and create a den in the back, sun bath or chew a bone in the front, and adjust her temperature when needed really. Too hot move to the front, too cold move to the back...etc. When I purchsed a smaller verision for her she hated it and cried and whined until I gave her the larger one back.I would say its a solid investment and a good dog house.

It looked used and raggedy when l got it. It was already put together and the delivery driver was in a very small car. The dog house was cramped inside his car. I kept it but the vent is broken

It is roomy for one big dog. They love to fight over it. It is ideal for your porch.

I have owned 30 to 100 dogs for a 50 years. These dog houses are the best deal on the market. They are durable and the perfect shape to keep the dog warm and dry in the winter and summer. Only drawback is the same as any dog house, the dog can chew it. I have probably purchased 30 or 40 of these over my career in the dog business, breeding, training, boarding.

Muy grande y robusta. Las anteriores que había tenido mi perro acababan mordidas y rotas, pero esta aguanta los mordiscos y ni se notan. Al tener forma de L abierta aísla mucho del frío en invierno. Muy contento el perro y nosotros con la compra, merece la pena el dinero que cuesta.

アメリカのホームセンターで見つけてどうしても欲しいと思いました。調べたところ飛行機の預け入れ荷物にもできない大きさで、分解できないないか悩んでいたところ、なんとアマゾンで販売されいて速攻で購入しました。犬の巣穴のような作りで、豆柴たちも気に入るだろうなと思っていましたが、やっぱり気に入ってくれて、休みたいときは奥の方に入り、のぞき込まないと見えない感じです。豆柴が2匹いて、片方が占領してしまったのでもう1個購入しました。最高のドッグハウスです。

Parece increiblemente resistente y es fácil limpiarla (tiene pequeños canales en la parte de abajo por donde puedes sacar el pelo/tierra/agua que quede en el interior) El piso de esta casa está un tanto más elevada para protegerlo de humedad y supongo que de la lluvia. El espacio interior es mucho mayor de lo que esperaba: fácilmente caben dos perros medianos extendidos a sus anchas dentro de la casa extra grande (aunque mi perros son envidiosos y nunca admiten que haya más de uno al mismo tiempo en cada dogloo). También la protección frente al frio, calor, viento y lluvia ligera es bastante buena.Lo recomiendo a cualquier persona que desee una casa confortable para su mascota. La única incógnita hasta ahora es qué tan buena protección ofrecerá contra lluvias fuertes, no se si cuando haya mucha agua la elevación interior del piso será suficiente para mantener seca a la mascota.

Me llamó la atención que varios usuarios comentaron que les llegó quebrado pero es que si se pasa el vendedor, lo envía “envuelto” prácticamente con una capita de plástico para emplayar. Entonces el producto viaja sin ningún tipo de protección. Obvio, me llegó quebrado. Por otro lado el envío se demoró 6 días de la fecha prometida. El producto en sí es de muy buena calidad, robusto y de plástico grueso, pero las grapas en las que se pega con la base son muy frágiles.
