Kittens loved them and ask for more... I can only give 1 per day!
I think many of these 2-3 star reviews are unfair to the manufacturer. Cats are notoriously picky. Any experienced cat owner will know this. Some cats like duck, some cats don't. It's like rating an ORANGE 2 stars because your cat prefers apples. Anyway, back to my review, my 4 and 5-month-old kittens were having loose stools so I had to get a probiotic along with an anti-diarrhea strategy asap. To the lady who says the treats are too big, er... just break them apart? These are easy to break into pieces and my 4-month-old kitten has a small mouth, and she can eat these whole occasionally. When she can't, I break them apart for her, problem solved. My 5-month-old kitten eats them whole, so an adult cat definitely can eat them whole. So they do like these treats and try to sniff my hands and the bag for more. I sometimes feel bad because I can only give one per day. It's been 2 weeks now and the stools are all firming up. Note that I did also incorporate a bland poached chicken diet with broth for a few days and add 1/4 capsule of Jarrow's Saccharomyces boulardii + 1/4 teaspoon of slippery elm bark powder twice a day. At this point, I'm running out so I'll have to purchase these again soon. Last but not least, one review said, "I don’t know if these do anything. They might but even if they do, your cat will probably refuse to eat them, and any marginal benefits will not be worth the deceitful methods you’ll need to employ to even test them out." Again, each cat is different. As shown with many of the other reviews, there ARE cats who do love this treat. No deceitful methods being employed here with my kittens; they eat right out of my hand. So try this out. For the price, it's worth it, and if your cats don't like it, just give it to another cat owner. All in all, I hope everyone will be able to get their cats happy and healthy again.

They work well!
My 5 year old kitty, Beans, was having tummy issues so I got him these probiotics. Sadly, Beans was NOT having it. He did not like the smell or the taste. When I tried to give him one he sniffed it and walked away. I tried mixing it with his food and he ignored it. My hubby has to pick Beans up and push the chew into his mouth. They DO work because he doesn’t have diarrhea anymore and his stools are back to normal. But to get him to take them is another story. The struggle is real. **Update- Beans still won’t eat this whole but I crumble it into his food and he’s good. His father, BK, LOVES this and since he’s been having a bad tummy I gave him one to try and he gobbled it right up. So changed my original rating from 3 to 5 stars because they really do work and Beans is just a fussy floof.

Not bad
Overall, I think it was a good product. Unfortunately, the cats didn’t eat them after a few of weeks. Sometimes they would find them later in the day and eat them. Since I only got to use it for three weeks I can’t say for certain it worked, but I think it would would have if it was allowed more time. I did notice a slight improvement.

Not bad, but not great for all cats
First issue is the flavor - DUCK. Not all cats will dig that flavor. Second issue is the texture/firmness - My four cats had different reactions to this. One would eat anything you gave it, and from there we had varied results with the other 3 all the way to "Nope, not gonna eat it". For the firmness, you can smash them a bit with your fingers or roll them out some to reform it, and for the cats with texture issues, they started eating them. They got through the pouch and it did seem to help the kittens with their "gassy" bloated look. So I have to say it worked, but it took a lot more effort than other treats.

It works! ... with a few caveats
We have two 1 year-old cats...one (calico) is a self-imposed 'dominant' who also has a bit of 'nervous bowel'... we went through the most likely avenues to tease out her loose stool cause. After ruling out infectious causes (with abx that then caused MORE loose stool)... we tried several priobiotic treats, formulas, etc... The trouble is getting a smart kitty to eat something that is obviously not a real treat... these animals are a bit too smart for our shenanigans. As long-time pet owners, we have also found that vets tend to have very few answers for these more esoteric problems. Aside from the usual 'rule out infection'... applying 'people medicine' solutions for every kitty concern gets a bit absurd - AND very, very expensive. Also, having another kitty who was 'normal' by all accounts helped us know we weren't dealing with something communicable. BUT, a solution we seemed to have landed upon for our now months-long problem is to mash/grind up a VertiScience treat into some pulverized freeze-dried chicken bites which our cats - esp the dominant calico - love and then sprinkle this mixture on top of their wet food in the morning. The dominant always comes and eats off the freeze-dried chicken first and, therefore, gets the major dose of priobiotic. Well, her poops have been MUCH better, less stinky, more firm... less horrifying = normal. I realize this is a long way to go for this solution. BUT, if you - like us- were starting to feel a bit hopeless, pulling your hair out... you may want to go that extra mile. The alternatives are, 1) live with - and that also means your cat lives with - loose, gooey, stinky poo every day ... a horrible existence for you AND your cat ... 2) run up ridiculous vet bills trying to suss out some uncommon cause (e.g. IBD) ... or worse. So far so good... we are much happier. Our calico, too, seems SO much more at ease and loving :)

Disappointed. Did not work with 5 cats
Disappointed. I bought this product hoping to resolve a digestive and dirrahea problem with one of my cats and prevent having to go to the vet. This cat eats everything but everything seems to cause her diarrhea and gut problems. I changed her to a digestive care diet from a very reputable company. Though it helps a bit, I wanted to add something that could help more. So, I bought VetriScience Probiotic. She refuses to eat them no matter what I do. I thought maybe I could use them with my other cats but NONE of them will eat them. Upon opening the bag, the smell is quite strong. Not fishy, like their shape. Almost a chemical smell. They were pretty small, compact, and would be "chewy" instead of crunchy if they would eat them. Unfortunately, this product has been useless to me and mine, so I cannot share anything positive, and hope I can return them. Best wishes to others who try them. It's always a gamble. This one didn't work for us.

It works!!
So I have a 14 yr old cat. She’s always suffered from throwing up. So no matter what food I gave her throughout the day. I tried every type of canned food even Blue. Recently I tried making her homemade cat food and it stopped except for late at night to early in the morning. Until she got bored with the homemade cat food, so I switched to fresh pet. Still throwing up late at night to early in the morning (painful kind) and then she started losing weight. She’s a very nervous cat and at times I heard her stomach gurgling. I have done at lot of research because I love my cat and started to think worst case but found these chews for your cats gut health. I gave one to her and she loved it. I gave another the next day early in the morning and then gave her, her fresh pet food. No throwing up!! After a month I’ll leave an update review. So far amazing!!

Recommend for cats who love cheese and pukes a lot
My cat used to love to play and get pets, but recently became aggressive towards us and the other cats. The vet said it could be an underlying condition. We noticed our cat eats his food way too fast, thus causing him to puke a lot. He also loves human cheese. I started giving him this chewable once a day, and he turned back into the lovable cat. Not aggressive, plays, seems happier and loves pets again. He has no problem eating them.

They don't love the taste, but it WORKS
I have a cat who is a garbage disposal, will eat anything, but for some reason turns his nose up at these when offered them as a treat (I assume he's expecting a greenie). However I've found great success in crumbling it and including it in his dry food. There is a NOTICEABLE difference, he is no longer being referred to as Mr Poopy and creating biological warfare in the litterbox. It's to the point where you can tell if one of his designated food bringers has forgotten to give him one that day. I'm happy to put in a little bit extra work to make his life a little better.

Mon chat adore!

a healthy treat
I wanted a probiotic for my cat. a "healthy" treat seemed like the way to go! She's fussy with treats at the best of times and wouldn't readily eat this by itself so I've been breaking it into her breakfast and she'll readily eat it in that form. I believe it has helped firm her stool.

My cat is to fussy.
It possibly is good. My cat is to fussy and will not eat them. I tried hiding in food. Just because mine does not, does not mean your cat will not eat and benefit.

Fixed my cat!
Price: 8/10, appropriate price for the item Effectiveness: 10/10, litterbox is way less toxic, and cat is much happier in general Flavor: 8/10 (I assume?), he readily eats them, but doesn't go nuts for them or anything Pros: They fixed my cat! Several months ago, Simon became a bit grumpy and withdrawn, nothing particularly intense or concerning, and we assumed it was due to the new cat. He also would occasionally sit in the bathroom and yell for no reason, and have extra stinky poops. I decided to try probiotics for him and within 48 hours he was the cat we knew and loved again: outgoing, over-the-top affectionate, super chatty. I can only assume he was in discomfort, and I only wish I'd tried them sooner. Cons: availability may be an issue. When I went to order more, they were unavailable. They were back a week later, but it makes me a bit nervous.
