The ruler gets hot, but its very durable
This ruler has come in handy so many times! I love that I can use it for multiple things and use the different edges. Though be careful, after using your iron on this ruler the ruler gets very hot and can burn you!

Usable but warped unevenly due to heat
My wife wanted this for her sewing projects, to make a uniform and measured edge seam, which it is both intended for and works fine for. It has a number of different features and shapes to facilitate making folds or seams at different angles, inside vs. outside corners, and even a rounded corner, and is marked in inches and fractions to facilitate matching the use requirements. Thus the fabric is laid flat, the tool placed on top of it in the correct position, and the edge of the fabric is bent over the tool and ironed to set the fold so that the edge can be machine sewn. Therefore, this tool needs to be heat resistant. "Heat resistant" in the product description means that it should not bend or warp when used this way, but instead it permanently warped during its very first use. It is still usable, since the degree of warping is small, but it seems likely that it will add more warping with more use, and different warping as the different areas of the tool are used. We're hoping that it does not become unusable. Disappointing, given the description.

Useful tool
Love it. Quality sewing ruler, I used it to make marks in my fabric layout, I also use it in my design drawings. I like the small size, it stays in my drawing notebook. Yellow color but clear for see through. And it works with the iron to make the correct seam. I ended up using basting tape for my tent seams for waterproofing (and my rip stop polyester didn't crease that well). Overall this has become .one of my favorite tools.

Helpful and Easy to Use
The hot ironing ruler worked well for quick and accurate hems. It handled heat without warping, and the measurements were easy to read while pressing fabric. It made my sewing projects faster and more consistent.

Very clear easy to read measurements. Takes the guesswork out of hemming. It does get warm but that's to be expected. Useful addition to my sewing kit.

The product took a while in the post. It arrived safely, well packed and as ordered. I haven't tested it under the iron yet, but the markings are clearly visible and will be helpful. Please note measurements are imperial not metric- good for American users or quilters on the American system. The listed price was 15.22 dollars and 12.21 more were added for shipping, which as a prime member is usually free. For a light and simple tool 15.00 seems a fair price, 27.00 not so much.
