Lovely--was concerned about Amazon's caution that this item has been frequently returned. Another review caused me to feel concerned about the beads being dyed. But they are perfectly fine--look and feel good to the touch. And they are exactly the lighter brown color a fresh rudraksha bead shouldd be.

Very nice japamala, helpful for my meditation.

The dye that others mentioned is in one of the two threads that pass through the rudhraksha, not the seeds themselves. The threads are locked to the tassel with a wrapped metal wire which is sharp. It pokes me in the stomach and gets stuck on the inside of my shirt. The rudhrakhsa themselves are all the advertised size and the knots between them are securely tied. The whole mala is very light and hangs down almost to my belly button. It's great for people who just want a mala for counting and don't intend to wear it. Either way, it's actually good value for money when you think of how much human labor goes into its production.

I use it every morning during morning prayers.

This rudraksha mala looks so beautiful in person. I like that it's a bit large so that I can do mantra japa with it. It is a bit dyed as when I soaked it in milk, the milk turned slightly brown/reddish. I didn't notice any cognitive or emotional benefits using it though and didn't notice any change in my energy. All of the faces were of high quality, except for like 1-2, which were worn out a bit (one of them especially). It's made with high quality material and is highly durable.

I purchased my beads abt 3 yrs ago and wear them daily in a school environment and throughout the remainder of each day. So, for durability I would recommend them. Bead size and shape are similar, approx same size but notable variances that indicate to me no duplication. I have not witnessed any color wear off (rain or water fights with my students - outside during Spring Break). So, the 1-star about soaking their chain in water - I have not witnessed nor experienced. Even my acupuncturist favored them and offered to smudge them whenever I visited her office.

I felt it INSTANTLY and it’s NOT imagination guys. I didn’t expect it to do anything or know that was a side effect, and being high energy, I noticed how calm I felt instantly, it was amazing in my experience! However do your homework on these, you should almost never take these off for maximum benefits (Sadhguru has some great vids on YouTube if needed to learn more about these precious and awesome seeds!)

The mala is beautiful with 108 beads. The size of beads is not too small and hence convenient for chanting. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. I soaked it in ghee for 24 hours, then milk for 24 hrs before using. Happy with the overall quality and would recommend purchase of this mala.
