I love this deep fryer . This is actually my second purchase. The first one stopped working because I made the mistake of washing the top heating/control unit (the part with the knob and metal rods), which should not be submerged in water. Now I only clean the metal rods and wipe down the control unit instead of washing it. Aside from that, this fryer works really well. It heats up quickly and cooks food evenly. I’ve used it for frying chicken and fish, and everything comes out crispy and delicious. It’s easy to use and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. As long as you clean it properly and keep the heating element dry, it’s definitely worth it. I would purchase again.

One could deep fry in a sauce pan with a wire insert basket (I have one of those) or one could use a fryer specific implement. The advantage of this deep fryer is that the temperature is automatically controlled thus providing for a smoother operation and better outcomes. I've prepared onion rings, shrimp and potatoes. It is making me seem as though I am a "good" cook. Chicken and eggplant are the next two adventures. Beyond having a remarkable coating/batter for the item one fries the other is using a sufficient amount of lard/tallow/bacon fat. Do not allow the volume to drop to "Minimum" - don't be cheap with the stuff one fries in. I avoid seed oils. Fill it up toward "Maximum" and fry right. I believe this tool works well when preparing meals for 4 or fewer. It is not for cooking for crowds. The dishwasher cleaning the basket has been super. Thus far it has shown quality and ease of use. I can and do recommend you to consider it for a low cost high value kitchen implement for small quantities.

Needs 2.1 quarts of oil, the basket is 6” x 8” and oil in basket is 1.5” deep when filled to the Max. Line. Very small deep fryer but great for 2 people. Used one time so far on fries worked great very crispy. Did not check temperature but I think it was hot enough, heated up in average time for a fryer. Washed in dishwasher top before use everything survived unharmed, did heating element by hand making sure not to get electrical part wet. The price is great. will update if anything changes but now I would buy again and recommend.

Finally got to use this to make fresh fries for the kids. Super easy to use, and clean. The only thing is the power cord can easily fall off even with the magnet. But over all it's a good deal.

I had a more expensive one that didn't last 8 months, so I purchased this one, and it is holding up nicely. People who say the green light doesn't work, you have to wait until it gets to that temperature that you set it at, and then the light will come on. So far I have been very pleased with this fryer and the price can't be beat.

Good product easy to use. Not much clean up. The buttons for on when ready. Work well
