Solid and good tolerances
I really just needed this for some 3/8" copper repairs in my RV, and it did the trick perfectly. I had purchased a cheap brand first because it had relatively decent reviews. But it scraped up my tubing, wouldn't clamp down fully even then, and created an oversized swage with a gap I was pretty sure solder wouldn't be able to fill properly. Sent that back and picked this one up, and I noticed right away the increased weight between the two. The vice is much smoother and of higher quality material, didn't crimp my tubing excessively, and performed a very snug fitting swage. I would have probably preferred a tiny bit more wiggle room, but once the copper is sanded, it'll probably be perfectly fine (soldering is on tomorrow's list). I love that it's made in the USA and still cheaper than the higher end brands, but seems well made and in good tolerances.EDIT: Finished soldering and flaring 2 of the lines for a flare nut, tightened up, leak checked, and I'm in business again.

No es Fabricación USA
Gran desilusión, en las fotos publicadas dicen que es fabricación USA, lo que me llegó es imperial pero es de fabricación Tailandia

Pretty good, but there are better ones
I bought this because I needed a good swage kit. I don't like using swage punches. I have a really nice hilmor orbital flare kit but it doesn't come with the swaging capability so I bought this. Overall this imperial does the job it needs to do. I have only used it on 3/8 copper so far and I noticed that when I try to fit the pieces together it is pretty tight. I have used other swage kits that swage a little bigger and not so tight, but this is ok. I find it hard to clamp my piece without damaging the outside too much. I'm not a big fan of the way the clamp is set up but it works pretty good in the end. This imperial does what it is supposed to do and I can't complain too much about that. I was debating this over the Bacharach swage kit and I wish I would have gotten that one instead. I have used the Bacharach before and I like it better. As far as flaring goes, it is no where near my hilmor for flaring. I strictly neeeded this for swaging and I would much rather flare than swage anyway. If you don't want to break the bank this will perform your swaging needs however I think there are better ones out there
