Works better than original. I lit it about 730 am and it was still burning 1230 pm. Went out sometime after that. Still had fuel on the wick and re-lit, maybe wind blew it out. I probably needed to shorten the wick about 1 inch shorter. The wick was black, but it never burned up.

These have definitely worked great when they were too long cutting them was even easier. Definitely worth the buy.

These fiberglass replacement wicks work very well for my tiki torches. They burn at a decent rate - not too fast, not too slow - which means they last a good while and don't waste fuel. The fit is perfect. They fit into the tiki torch container well without being too loose or too tight. The wicks are thick enough to provide a good flame and long enough to reach deep into the fuel reservoir, so you can use all of your torch fuel efficiently. Easy to install. The quality is excellent. Awesome price and works as it should lit up the first literally just tipped it for a second to wet the wick and off it went. I really like how long it is i can trim it to any size I need.

We purchased several Tiki torches for our back yard and after the initial use, they never seemed to stay lit. I tried trimming the wicks, replacing the fuel, and raising the wicks to what seemed to be a ridiculous height but they never stayed lit. Purchasing these replacement wicks has helped greatly. I didn't even try to continue using the original wicks and replaced all of them with these wicks and they've all worked like a champ every time. Much cheaper than Tiki-brand replacements too!

Not 1/2". More like 7/16". While for some may not be a big deal, for others, it may be. For example, for a tight fit, I am using a 1/4" copper fitting. In the photos it looks like I am squeezing the wick, I'm not. I think that may show better when you look at the gap at 1/2" I will update it once i use it.

As soon as I received the wicks, I immediately cut one to size and refilled my glass table top tiki burner and put to use. I also filled my copper tiki vessels and also cut to size the wicks. They all performed perfectly! I could only have only gotten 2-three packs of wicks in the local home store, for the same price as a dozen purchased here. I use these a lot in the spring, summer and fall along with a well placed bug zapper to control pesky insects while enjoying the outdoors.

real fiberglass wick. use with kerosene, paraffin LLP or lamp oil. add a little citronella or eucalyptus oil for great aroma.

Way better than the stock wicks you get with your tiki torch/canisters. I didn't think there would be much of a difference, but man it's a significant difference. It burns a lot more efficiently and lasts way longer than the ones that are provided stock. The ones that came with my torches started to fray and bubble up less than an hour of being lit. But these ones kept their form and didn't bubble up and all throughout the duration I've had them burning (which was at least 2-4 hours). Honestly best wicks I've used so far.

Bought them as replacements for our metal tiki torches. They fit snug, are easy to trim to proper sizes and wick well.
