These Purple Pads help me in many ways. I have bad back pain and Sciatica issues for along time and have been using a Cooling Gel Memory Foam matress pad topper. We who use these though know that they don’t hold up for very long, especially if the pain is bad and you have to use it to relieve pain more often ( not just for nighttime sleeping, but daytime too) than you care to. It also very easy to clean and they last for a very long time. I have not had to replace any of mine. I have used every one of those chair pads with the cut out in the back for your tailbone, never worked for me.This Purple Pad has two sides, one with small squares (firmer) the other side has bigger squishier (still lots of support) squares . This is the side I prefer. It provides great support but just not as firm as the other side. It really comes down to your own preference. The case it comes with is wonderful. It’s not hard to put the pad in the cover and doesn’t slip on any surface, it really is great. There are those little bumps on the bottom that have amazing staying power, but still easy to pick up and move around. No sliding off the chair while sitting on this one. I have used it for many things, chair, wheelchair, bed anywhere I need it because it has a great handle on it making it very portable.My memory foam topper started wearing down and couldn’t immediately afford to buy another one so since I had a couple of these Purple Pads I put them under the topper and was blown away by how it felt ( wished I had thought of it sooner ) better than just using the memory foam until I could afford replacement.I have to say it really is helping with my pain but also the healing process. I sleep so much better too. Stretching is very important though too.This is my Con though (only on this purchase) … it was Used. There were some small rips and on one side discoloration (whitish) where someone had sat. I did buy it when it was on sale. Sometimes I find I get things used (rarely) that are on sale but say they are New. I was going to take a star off for that but it is the first time this has happened with this product. I just won’t buy when on sale, could be just an isolated incident, I hope. I do highly recommend this pad. Shipping was fast and packaged very well.

I love my Full Purple cushion so much that I’m also buying the Simple cushion for my flight in June 2025.I get pressure wounds and the Full Purple cushion has been a gift from heaven! I sit on it and I sleep on it. My wounds occur less often and when they do happen they heal much faster with my doctors care.The only negative I have is they list the weight of the Full Purple cushion as 2.4 pounds. That is incorrect! The Full Purple cushion actually weighs 5.2 pounds! This makes me wonder what the real weight is of the Simple cushion will be when it arrives.

So worth EVERY penny. I bought a second one so I could have one for my desk and one for carrying around to other chairs. These are a must for anyone who has low back pain that would be eased by relieving the pressure on the spine.

It is super expensive for what it is. It is long lasting, I've had this for years. However, it has a tendency to fall off of my chair and doesn't stay in place. This makes it really difficult when sitting for long periods of time. As much as it alleviates pressure, it still doesn't provide as much cushion that I need around the anus. I wish it was thicker. If you don't have any issues such as coccyx issues, this works really well for you, but if you need a cutout, this doesn't have that. It's super lightweight but it might not fit people who wear bottom sizes larger than an XL. The design itself is nice, but I wish it had a way to actually secure itself onto the chair, it keeps falling off the chair, all the time.

Bought for my mother since she works long hours sitting down and she loves it, she says it helps her so much!

I would just like to start out saying that Purple's customer service has been amazing! Jeni specifically was the representative that helped me and she was very attentive and responsive to my concerns. When the cushion arrived there seemed to be a few splitting marks at the edge of each side and when I showed photos she went ahead and sent me a replacement. I also did not need to go through the hassle of returning the defective one.I've used this cushion now for about two months and I've tested two other cushions from amazon (knock off's) as well as the ultimate and royal cushion from Purple, both of which weren't for me since they were extremely too firm. I am around 125lbs and petite, so unfortunately they both felt like i was sitting on a wooden chair. The knock off's were extremely thin and it was like i was using nothing so i returned those as well (learned that not all gel cushions are made the same). For the double cushion, it was the only one that made me feel a difference! It is plush and actually DID something. I am using it on a office chair handed down to me that has lost its cushioning so it was like sitting on cement, I needed something to hold me over before i can buy another office chair, and for me the double cushion sufficed. Now it didnt change my life and take away the pain completely, as I unfortunately still feel pain in my lower back/tailbone (but that could also be because of no lumbar support from my office chair so i don't want to put the blame completely on the cushion) and after 30 minutes to an hour of sitting i do have to reposition myself or stand up from my chair as I still do feel pain. That being said, it is usually recommended to get up and move around every 20 minutes or so of sitting so with that in mind it may actually be helping me! Using the cushion with an office chair that has more cushioning than my current chair may improve its efficacy though. I am using the smaller waffle side up and the larger side down, I believe they state for harder surfaces you should be using the smaller squares on the bottom but i felt more cushion with it facing upwards. Our bodies are all so different, so this may be comfier for you than it was for me or it may do nothing, so I would suggest trying it and then deciding! Hope this helps!
