After starting to take this shilajit, I felt more energetic, more lively and a general sense of well being. I cannot say I have ever felt such a good effect from any other single product. This stuff gave me and continues to give me a great boost.I had opened my first jar a few months ago and then did not use it regularly until recently. When I originally opened it, it was a powder, but when I recently re-opened the bottle, it had turned into a hard tar-like substance. To soften it up and make it usable, I set the little jar in a dish of very hot water (just below the cap line), for a few minutes and it softened up enough to be usable and then I could scoop it out and dissolve it in warm water. The next jar I got, I sealed the lid tightly,then placed that small jar into another jar and sealed that lid tightly. I did not have any more problems with it after taking that step and it has remained in powder form. I think it absorbs moisture from the air very easily, so be careful to keep it in an extremely dry environment.

Dealing with Amazon for sending me the wrong size was a pain but the product itself is amazing. I've used one other Shilajit supplement from Nootropics Depot and this definitely feels like it has a stronger effect and is a little cheaper. I mix one scoop in juice along with l-citrulline for energy and focus. Sometimes i just take it straight by dropping a school in my mouth and drinking water. Taste ain't bad. A also feels it brings up my mood a little but I mainly notice and increase in energy that lasts most the day. The powder has hardened a little after a month but not hard to break it up; you can put just a tad if water in it to break it up if needed.

I mix it in with my coffee or tea,so I don’t taste the powder.Since it’s small amount,the flavor is NOT overpowering. I tried it alone ONCE with water only and it taste horrible.I have noticed ongoing energy to last throughout the day,it’s not HIGH,pumped up mood,just simply enough to get through morning til night.

So I tried this Shilajit per a recommendation - it tastes YUCK, like salty dirty - basically that's what it is anyways. I would give this 5 stars except it wasn't powdery like it should be and was ROCK HARD. It comes with a tiny metal measuring spoon and I've been using that to SCRAPE it out. I think I will order another one since this one comes so highly recommended, however, I need to do some research first about WHY it's not a powder and how to prevent it from being a rock.
