I can see clearly now..
Great remote, works really well and it lights up.. no more accidentally hitting Netflix while trying to pause a movie in the dark. It is a lot bigger than the one boxed with the UB 820 but happy with it.

Backlit DP-UB820 Remote
A great replacement remote for the DP-UB820, which has a much better layout and extra function buttons when compared to the basic remote supplied by Panasonic. It also has a strong backlight for operation in dimmed lighting conditions. The buttons feel a bit spongy but are still responsive.

Stopped working after a few weeks.
I’m thoroughly disappointed with this Blu-ray remote. After just a few weeks of light use, the buttons have completely stopped working, even with fresh batteries. It’s as if the remote has just given up. There’s no response whatsoever, making it impossible to control the Blu-ray player without getting up every time.For a remote designed specifically for a Blu-ray system, this is a total failure. I can’t believe something so essential to the experience is this poorly made. I strongly advise against purchasing this remote – it’s effectively a paperweight. Save yourself the hassle and find a better, more reliable option.

Better than the original remote to the 820ebk.
And it has lights! Bit bright tbh. Pretty huge remote but it does have a nicer layout and extra buttons to the one i replaced.

Brilliant for what it is and what it's made for and what it does but it has a broken part inside that rattles around but luckily it works and again over 10 pounds I refuse to waste my time to send this back for a new one it's turning out to be more and more traders on the Amazon site now

Works with Panasonic DP-UB820
This is so much better than the remote that came with the Panasonic DP-UB820 as the buttons are in a much better layout and has stopped me accidently pressing the stupidlyplaced netflix button. It also has a backlight which is very useful.Only negative is it is very light and cheap feeling but it was much cheaper than an official remote so to be expected.

As described by the seller a good alternative remote which lights up in the dark when you push a button make it easier to see what you pressing
