DEET-free
I have avoided using a bug repellent because of the odor. I also objected to using DEET. I decided to try this lemon eucalyptus spray after being bitten twice by deer ticks. I like the smell of this product. The pump mechanism works well. I usually apply it to my ankles and legs. The spray is moist enough to use some excess on my neck. I use this regularly and I have not had any further deer ticks bites.

Highly Recommended.
This spray seems to work very well. Yes, it has a very strong scent. But that is what makes it work. The scent doesn't stay around long. It goes on pretty dry. I love the spray bottle. It really gives a big, strong, wide mist. Unlike some other sprays I have used that you have to pump multiple times to make it work. It gives a coolness on the skin kind of like menthol. I really like that. It keeps me cool while bike riding. This is a good value too.

๐ชฐ๐ฆ Not as good as DEET, but a great alternative if you donโt like it, harmful chemicals
Not as preventative as DEET, but definitely helps to keep mosquitoes at bay at dusk and Dawn. The scent is strong when you first apply, but it fades a bit after a while. I always shower once Iโm done in the garden because I donโt like leaving any kind of bug repellent on overnight. The reason Iโm giving it four stars is because the suction is so strong, that it collapses the container (and I wasnโt strong enough to release the pressure by twisting the top openโฆ If your hand strength is better, you wonโt run into this problemโฆ it also seems effective and repelling horse flies.

Season yourself
Really works as more of a sauce to make mosquito bites more flavorful. Only seems to work if your with someone else who doesn't apply this, then they may prefer the unscented skin of your friend.

This stuff is incredible
The scent is lovely, especially compared to literally every other bug spray. It does keep mosquitoes off of you and seems to help some against gnats and black/stable flies as well. Does nothing for deer flies, but no spray will since they hunt by sight not smell. But the biggest advantage of this spray was totally unexpected - it COOLS YOU DOWN. Think Vicks vapo-rub. I assume itโs the eucalyptus. I spray it on every morning before going outside to work and, instead of sweating profusely, feeling dizzy, miserable, and getting dangerously dehydrated, i sweat about as much as a normal human being. But this makes every breeze a cool breeze. Itโs absolutely refreshing. It makes being outside relaxing and pleasurable rather than the absolute nightmare that coastal virginia summers usually are. I canโt stress enough what a game changer this is for me. Iโm extremely heat intolerant, have had heat stroke a few times and heat exhaustion dozens of times. It makes a 90 degree day with 85% humidity tolerable, and with a fan nearby it helps in even hotter, more humid conditions. I have some sort of reaction to products with DEET - it slowly but surely makes my skin feel like itโs on fire, which obviously makes heat and humidity worse, and I start sweating even more profusely than I would without it, to the point that it starts running into my eyeballs. I still use deet based sprays on my clothes, where it will have minimal skin contact, but use this spray anywhere skin is exposed. I actually went and looked up the safety studies on this stuff on the epa website and read the 26 page registration eligibility document to see how safe it really was, since I apply this at least twice, usually 3 to 4 times a day. Besides the nauseating descriptions of the lab experiments that sprayed it into rabbitsโ eyeballs and let it fester for 24 hours, among other cruelties (which are not just standard, but required for FDA approval/registration, so the manufacturer canโt be faulted here), the document was reassuring in showing that the spray has no apparent negative effects in the short term, and appears to have none in the long term as well. But even if it did I donโt think Iโd stop using it ๐ It does need to be reapplied every few hours and NEVER let it get into your eyes - the bunnies took that blow for us and suffered greatly for it - please do not waste their sacrifice. Some lab rats also took one for the team by showing that you shouldnโt inhale it - but the effects they experienced were, in my humble opinion, more likely due to an insanely high dose being intranasally administered continuously for 4 hours, rather than passively inhaling a typical amount one might breathe in during spray application. The oral administration tests had similarly awful results, but i opine once again that the ludicrously excessive conditions they were subjected to were more likely the cause. Still - donโt drink or inhale it.

Love this stuff doing the job so far so good
I've has this a while but hadn't used it as I wanted to use up my other mossie repellents first. Used it in Portugal in May and have to say it was brilliant. I am a magnet for Mossies and react badly to them so I am always very careful what I use. I was nervous about using it the first time as I didn't really trust it and wasn't looking forward to getting bitten. It has a pleasant strong lemon smell to it and goes a long way, I found it also cooled my skin. I did get one bite on my face but I did not have a reaction to it which makes me think that the mossie didn't like the taste or smell so didn't hang around long enough to do their usual damage to me. This bottle will last me about half a dozen two week holidays so its value for money. Going to test it in Greece later in the year which will be a tough test as the mossie's there queue up waiting for me to land!!!

Best protection ever
Iโm a mosquito magnet and usually suffer badly in tropical destinations (extreme swelling of bites). Iโve tried other DEET and alternatives before but this was the best yet (used throughout Colombia). Hardly any bites at all and it smells very nice too. I did take Benadryl once a day too so perhaps the combo was the magic this time

Actually works
I forgot to use this on day one of my holiday and was bitten by mosquitoes around 8 bites. I never forgot again and was only bit twice then for the whole week. I will always buy this for future holidays, itโs expensive but worth it. Lasts a long time and you only need a little. After a week of 4 adults using, there was half a bottle left. Smell is not fantastic but not horrid.
