GRAYL Geopress Water Purifier

We bought this Grayl Purifier in preparation for our pilgrimage to the Holy Land. We were advised by our Tour manager to stay hydrated during the pilgrimage as the weather was hot and humid and to prevent dehydration. We filtered water from thousand year old springs, hotel faucets, restaurants, airport sink, and water fountains in bus stations. It’s bulky and can take up a lot of room in your backpack, but we never encountered any problems from water borne diseases because of this purifier. In our recent vacation, it again proves its worth and provided us with clean drinking water anywhere we went. But we purchased extra filters and made sure that we brought along at least one extra filter during our trip.

I dreamed of something like the Geopress 6 years ago and now it's here. Thank you for giving us this wonder of ingenuity.

FANTASTIC. No pump/valves to fail, works fast, simple to use and decent carrying volume. Skip the complicated pump-based purifiers, they fail - usually when you're in the middle of nowhere and have no way to repair them. Buy this, throw a spare filter in your pack if you're going on a long trip if you want peace of mind, you won't regret it.

The water that stays at the bottom (that isnt going through the filter) is leaking on the top when you drink. Also after 2 weeks it takes like a minute to press through the water putting all my weight on it.... In the first few days it went really fast and smooth. Does that mean my filter expired in like two weeks using daily 2-3 filtering????? I mean the purified water feels super clean, but the brand promises more lifetime for a filter than 2 weeks and I would also expect that. I only use it with tap water at home and in my workplace... :/

No es el filtro para virus más económico por litro (me encantaría que un cartucho me durará más meses dado que no es tan fácil de conseguir según donde ...para eso el lifesaver era mejor) pero es más fiable y después de años usándolo no se me ha roto nunca ni filtro ni ningún cartucho (con precauciones básicas como meterlo en el saco por la noche si hiela y guardarlo en la mochila lleno y mezclada el agua pa que no este tan fría ..
