Proster RJ45 Crimp Tool, Pass Through Ethernet Crimper with Cat6 Connectors

Works as described, happy with the purchase. You can tell that it’s not the strongest construction but for a small batch of cables or occasional use it’s perfect. If you’re going to do large quantities then perhaps something more expensive but for use as a hobbyist it’s exactly what you need.

For my needs, especially as someone just getting into wiring up RJ45s, this tool is great. It trims the wires neatly, leaving them perfectly flush. It can be difficult to feed the wires through the crimp tool, as there are two areas that tend to snag them. This can be frustrating; more often than not, you'll need to pull the wires out, straighten them, and attempt it again. However, this could also be due to my inexperience and a natural learning curve. ​From what I can tell, the pins of the plugs get crimped very securely by the tool. The only consistently negative thing I have found is regarding the tool's collar retention crimp. When used, it is actually too shallow; it doesn't provide a snug crimp and instead leaves a rather messy connection behind. This can be rectified with other tools, but it's a shame to have a feature included that ultimately does a poor job. ​Apart from that, I am really happy with the purchase and would recommend it

This is s really good value kit, especially when you take into account the time saved by using pass through connecters, rather than the old type, and the fact that you get a chance to recheck wire positions before crimping the connector (how many times has a wire managed to change places with I'd neighbour as you push the wires in?) The connectors provided in the kit are decent quality, the opening that the wires pass through is cleanly molded with no flash remaining (I've bought the pass through connectors from other sellers and wondered why the wires wouldn't go through only to find poor quality molding was the culprit)

This tool made cutting, preparing and crimping CAT 5/6/7 cable onto RJ45 connectors a doddle. It’s so simple, especially paired with open ended RJ45 connectors which allow you to feed the cable fully through while preparing. It will crimp and cut the cable back to the perfect fit. Over 2000 crimps done an no failures yet…

This is OK-ish for an occasional DIY projects, although make sure you have an RJ45 tester because success is not guaranteed. I found that pin 1 and 8 weren’t being sheared by the crimper. And then pin 1 was failing on my tester. When crimping, make sure you put it all the way in, and crimp *hard*. On the plus side, it is cheap!

Decent quality, great value. Instructions could be clearer, but overall works well.

Short version, this thing is junk.. there saved you reading. But really, when you receive this it looks fine, the packaging is professional, they give you loads of conectors and boots, a separate cutting tool and it feels solid. Thats where it ends now try to use it, the cutting blade has little control so you damage the cores, the crimp hole is somewhat annoyingly sized, i tried to crimp one head.. the blade locked closed never to be opened again, the head is jammed in the crimper, the handle locks closed the pin falls out and its done.. not even one go before i have to return it. spend a little more and avoid this

Nie jestem specjalistą, ale do użytku domowego bardzo dobre narzędzie. Po minucie tutoriala na youtubie spokojnie można sobie przyciąć kilka kabli w domu, dużo główek w zestawie i kable wyszły bardzo dobrze.

最初は配線が反対にしてしまい、通電が全くしませんでした。 やり直したら、出来ました。 最初のコードを剥くのは、すごく簡単に剥けて感動。 LANのコードをまとめてやってみようとしましたが、硬いし無理でした。 ２５ｃｍほど剥いて１本ずつ入れていきました。 最後、はみ出したＬＡＮケーブルを切るのは、しっかりと力をいれてしました。 思ったより簡単にできて良かったです。
