Yes, the handle could be longer. We live on a golf course. Our yard is surrounded by Palo Verde trees. As you can see in the picture they shed little sticks/branches and in the spring little yellow blooms. It’s like yellow snow for several months. This rake works very well at moving the little sticks and blooms into a pile for removal. As far as people breaking the rakes handle…. If you over power the nylon bristles (push too hard) the handle will break. Pressing to hard ultimately defeats the purpose of the non destructive nylon bristles.

It does exactly what I needed it for, effortlessly.

If your raking turf, use a broom. Save your money.

I was a bit leery purchasing this rake based on reviews stating that it didn't rake small debris (I get a lot of small leaves on my turf.) or it would break easily. It worked well for me. I found that if you rake lightly, i.e., not aggressively, it captured 95% of the debris, even small things. Also, yes it is light weight and would break if you exert a lot of pressure but you shouldn't press down on it hard anyway. My only knock is that it is a short rake and should be longer to avoid back pain.
