Perfect replacement for a broken key fob casing!
This was the perfect replacement for my son’s broken key fob shell. He was having one of those moments and in a fit of anger he threw his lanyard on the sidewalk. His key hit hard and broke open...sending every piece flying. We found all the pieces except the most important piece...the circuit board. After searching for a couple days we finally found the circuit board on the other side of the community fence. Unfortunately, there was a small piece of plastic broken off the inside of the casing...the part that holds the key tight when you flip it open and closed. These keys are not cheap, especially after replacing a whole key and paying for it to be programmed just two months prior. After doing some research, I decided to order the key fob shell from ALIWEI.I knew I was also going to have to pay to have the key cut, but this was definitely much cheaper than ordering a whole new key from Land Rover.I ordered and just two days later the key arrived. The best part about this key fob casing...it actually has a very tiny screw that holds it together. The factory key fob doesn’t even have that!I slowly unscrewed the casing and held the key portion so that the spring wouldn’t spin loose and pop the key from the shell. The circuit board fit perfectly and I put the key fob back together.I then found a local locksmith that could cut the key for just $25. When I arrived, they told me that they couldn’t guarantee that the key would work. Of course, how many times have you had house keys made only to get home and they don’t work. But heck for 25 bucks it was worth a shot. Key cut and in hand, pushed it into the ignition and it worked beautifully! Thank you so much for saving me hundreds of dollars!!!

Almost the perfect solution for those with some time.
Need to warn you that most parts from old original LR won’t work with this one unless you have a micrometer and a very nice file set.Let me explain before the company hacks blow a gasket.1. The original key is wider than the key with replacement. So all you geniuses that believe they are going to use the old key .,,,, well think again.A. This is where your technical skills with a file will come in handy.I suggest going to the dealer and getting it cut. Or. Pay the $400 for a whole new key set.2. The spring set on the new one is pretty dope. Works like a hyper switchblade if you get it together right.3. Watch out chumps.. that little screw is tricky and can’t wait to fly out of you stinkin hands and never be seen again..Best wishes chumps...Other than that it is a great productFollow the lame instructions and everything with be perfect..

Doesn't fit OEM key.
I wanted to replace my battery, and put it back together with my OEM key. After preforming said task, and trying to reassemble it in the new shell, I realized The shell will only house the uncut key it comes with. The uncut key has different dimensions than the factory key. A little disappointed about that.If you want to have your key laser cut again, this will work. If not, be warned.Revision: After looking more closely, I noticed a bullet point on the sellers site that stated it did not fit an OEM key. My bad. I should have paid more attention. It costs about $25-$30 to get a key laser cut (depending on where you live), So I will be taking that route. On that note, it's a solid product that seems A LOT more sturdy than the stock FOB.

Purchased 2 of these. GRRAT PRODUCT.
So I had purchased this to replace the dead broken remote for the Land Rover. I cut the other key in half slowly and safely saved the remote components. I used the original cut key blade on the new key, I had to remove the factory pin to separate the switch out part of the key, also had to file it slightly to fit back into the aftermarket key switch. A few small adjustements to filing the metal down and it worked like a charm. Soldiered a new Panasonic battery on and was done!

Very good quality product.
A couple of youtube videos guide you through this process. This key was purchased for a 2009 Range Rover L322, and is very similar but the blade is slightly different. I had to grind down my L322 blade to match the size of the new swing/pivot part on new key. After that L322 blade fit perfectly, nice to have buttons that aren't missing again. Very good quality product.
