Better than expected

Very pleased. One box went a long way. Easy to use the different size/shaped pieces to connect together like a puzzle. Variety of large and smaller pieces worked well together. Shaded area where nothing would grow. Just ordered 2 more boxes to complete the area. Wonderful price considering we were quoted $800 for fake grass by a turf company for that same section, and now for less than $150 we have natural moss growing there! Box came packed tight with moss pieces (moss totally dry but green, healthy and light weight). We soaked the moss pieces in a bucket of water for a few minutes before laying it down and the moss drank up the water quickly and became a bright fresh green. Great alternative for hard to grow/shaded areas.1 Month Update: QUESTION now for SuperMoss company or other moss growers, can you recommend a product that will kill the small sprouts of grass coming up around the moss, but that is gentle and safe for the moss. I'd like to eliminate the sparse grass sprouts but not damage the moss. thank you!

My boyfriend purchased this for me a week ago from his account, so my review won't say verified purchaser, but I assure you, we purchased it. Seller is Amazon. Unfortunately, while the description says 5 pounds, I weighed the box on my digital kitchen scale when it got here, and the box only weighed 4 pounds. This is verified by the UPS shipping label which also says 4 pounds. When I opened the box, the moss was within a plastic bag, I took that bag out and weighed the empty box. Box weighed 13 oz. So basically, we were only shipped 3 pounds 3 oz. of moss. NOT 5 pounds. IF we can ever figure out how to get ahold of Amazon Customer Service, we hope that they can remedy this problem.Other than the weight being WAY off, the moss itself is about how I expected it. I know people complain about it not being in perfect square sheets, but I figure it doesn't grow in squares in the wild, and it's not like lawn sod where you just grow the stuff out in a field (I could be wrong). So I have no problem with the shapes. IF I want square sheets, I'll go to the hobby store and buy the fake stuff.I want it to be natural looking. I laid out all the pieces on a 6 foot by 8 foot piece of plastic (to give you some scale in the photos). The largest moss piece measures about 10 inches by 16 inches (irregular shape of course). The thickness of the moss varies in places, so it's not consistently one thickness. Again, no problem with that. I bought this to decorate for my daughter's wedding, various fixtures and centerpiece arrangements. The wedding is in late May, so I will update this review later to see if the moss holds up. I know the description says the color was enhanced. I do have quite a bit of moss here on my property in the woods, and this looks consistent with that. I flipped one piece over to show you the back. It is a bit fragile and I handled it delicately. I hope we can glue it without issues.

Bought & it this looked great the first week- then minute bugs started appearing! Placed it around the lemon cypress I have had for months and I am concerned they will kill it ! DON’T BUY! Not safe to return and ship back.
