Great value for the money. Locking my hair is a real learning experience and a work in progress. These little hooks are pretty easy to crochet your hair in with. You insert in the loc, wrap loose hair around the hook and pull the hair into the middle. This will work wonderfully on my smaller locs which I am switching to. If you have thicker/bigger locs it would be better to have a larger hook end than this set has. There care also some banana looking hooks for pulling the loc through itself. They are also easy to use for various styles and not just dreadlocks. The locking hooks come with wooden handles which are very durable. The metal shift and hook are pretty slim so be careful as they will bend fairly easily. I am able to use them on my hair with no bending. I received 2 single hooks, a double hook and a triple hook and then 2 of those banana things.

Got these when I started my loc journey. Since I have instant locs, these make it easier for self-maintenance for any flyaways, or strands that come free from the loc. I usually only use the single hook, but it's good to have a set on hand (esp. the varied sizes).

These do the job! The handles are wood and tend to wear out, but I’m glad they’re clearly earth friendly. Need another set!
