Will this handle work with the Gillette body for men blades

Yes, it will. Ignore the manufacturer, they're obviously more interested in having you buy newer more expensive cartridges with more blades. "Body" was just a black/green version of their original 3-blade blue Venus cartridge ("smooth") marketed towards men.

Venus in and of itself was just a bulkier Mach3 with ergonomics better suited to shaving your body than your face that was marketed at women. Then they got fancy and gave it 5 blades and a lotion bar and Olay and other stuff.

Gillette Body for Men, the entire Venus line (except Simply Venus), and the Mach3 family ALL have interchangeable blades and handles. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me. Ladies, if you feel like the Venus cartridges are too bulky, steal a Mach3 cartridge from your man.

I use a "Body" razor to groom my plums.  The Body cartridges were discontinued as far as I can tell in favor of pushing (wasteful) disposable versions of Gillette Body. When the refills became harder to find, I swiped a Venus cartridge with the lotion blob and other frilly doo-dads from a family member, before settling on just retiring Mach3 cartridges onto the Body handle once I was "done" using them for my face. A week of shaving my face -> 1-2 body shaves -> trash. Value!

If you can still find Body refills, they're usually very cheap. Like $1-2 per refill on eBay. That's a very low price compared to the regular Venus smooth refills. The aloe strip might be a bit dry as it's stock from when they were discontinued, but the Body refills are in sealed plastic packages inside the box, so they shouldn't be too bad. I've yet to use a bad one and they're all several years old at this point.

I have this handle handy (heh) as a spare for when my Body handle is broken, lost, or gets grimey, since it's rubberized and it lives in the shower.
