This psychrometer works great. I did several tests, compared it with all kinds of instruments .... conclusion is that this device works very good and is reliable... But, you have to give it the necessary time to stabilize... Don't expect accurate results within seconds....it's not conceived to be like that ...it works faster when there is some kind of air displacement. either by moving it, waving it a little bit or holding it in an air stream.... So actually It is perfect for HVAC work.... Very satisfied with it, good build quality and , very affordable ... The screen is better readable under a certain angle, it seems like it's done this way so you can read it when you hold it a little further from you, so there is no influence from your body temperature.... Screen can be lit when you press and hold the mode button a few seconds

I use this a lot, and it seems accurate enough for my purposes. I have multiple complex health issues affected by environment, and since I can't work I'm poor and live in crappy unhealthy apartments. This tool helps me pinpoint what exactly is making me uncomfortable at the moment. With no ventilation in my building, humidity builds up, and I can ID the problem spots. Battery has lasted several years of use up to 10 times per week. Easy to click the on button and get preliminary readings. Screen is readable. The numbers change every second while the device seems to settle on an average reading. The longer you wait, the more stable the reading. I like that you can get an immediate "guesstimate" though. Only wish the backlight could be manually triggered. Right now I just turn it off and back on again. Be gentle with the top of the probe with the plastic cover. Some reviews mention it can break. I keep it in a plastic ziplock bag just to make sure I'm being gentle with the weak point. Manufacturer: I would recommend adding some kind of cover to the tip of the probe to protect it.

Love that this item comes with a battery. I bought this handheld hygrometer to measure humidity across various reptile and amphibian enclosures and micro habitats in nature as I’m studying wild frogs. Oh, and it also measures temperature. Just as a bonus ;) This tool is now a treasured part of my environmental reading set.

I bought this to read wet bulb temperature, rather than using a “wet sock” temperature probe when checking our ac units. It made a big difference in the time it took to do the job. I checked its accuracy using the temperature and humidity readings from the Nest thermostats and it was within limits. Also, because it has a regular temperature mode, I was able to use this for the outdoor dry bulb temperature. I’d buy this again even if it gets broken or quits working.

It takes some time to measure the humidity but otherwise it does the job well. You might want to calibrate it. Compare the humidity level of it to another humidity meter. Record the difference. Then do the salt humidity test with the other one and see how much your new tool is off.

Ich habe mir dieses Gerät gekauft um die Luftfeuchtigkeit in verschiedenen Räumen zu erfassen. Dies ist hiermit schnell und relativ genau (kann nur mit meinen billigen Raumthermostaten vergleichen) . Die Luftfeuchtigkeit ist ungefähr gleich mit meinen Thermostaten die Temperaturen unterscheiden sich leider bei all meinen Geräten um bis zu einem Grad so hat dieses Gerät nur ungefähr die gleiche Temperatur wie mein Tischgerät. Temperatur ändert sich aber im Sekundentakt um 0,01 Grad ... es schwankt auch nach Minuten noch in einem Bereich von 0,15 Grad. Ich vermute das dies normal ist und ich brauch auch keine Temperatur die im Nachkomma bereich absolut exakt ist. Die werte erscheinen mit sehr plausibel und ich habe auch schon ein paar Räume gefunden die etwas besser belüftet werden müssen. Auf meiner Arbeit habe ich auch schon erstaunt festellen können das es viel zu warm in unserem Serverraum ist was eigentlich jedem klar war aber jetzt mit Fakten doch viel schneller behoben werden soll. Das Gerät hat ein beleuchtbares Display und zeigt den Taupunkt auf wunsch an. Insgesamt eine nette spielerei die ständig nachmisst und so auch für Unterwegs gut geeignet ist. Man kann das display sehr gut ablesen und das teil sieht nicht so aus wie als würde ein Sturz im etwas anhaben. Die einzige Schwachstelle sehe ich vorne im Sensor das dessen Plastikkappe leider aus Plastik ist und schnell brechen kann. Bei einem Sturz wird aber normalerweise die 9 Volt Batterie mit Ihrem Gewicht dafür sorgen das das Teil nicht auf die Sensorseite aufschlagen wird. Insgesamt ein brauchbares gutes Gerät für kleines Geld. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich ein Aufkleber das es nicht für die persönliche Sicherheit gedacht ist was wohl darauf hinweisen soll das es kein Gerät für den Industriellen Bereich ist.
