If you like writing, printing in pencil instead of ink or marker? A mechanical pencil with a good amount of high quality nice dark graphite? That the amount of graphite is very easy to control and doesn't break like so many others do? That feels good in the hand? And actually has an eraser on the end that erases rather than smears? makes matters worse? Then this is the pencil for you. I have been using these daily now for over 2 years and will use no other pencil. Don't waste your time or money, or hands on anything else. I buy these regularly. They are an excellent value. Each pencil lasts a good long time. And, no, the graphite in them is NOT replaceable. Just recycle these when they can write no more.

I've used these pencils every day for years. I have to replace them frequently because they often disappear from my desk at work. So, obviously, I am not the only one who likes them. :-) Most of the notes in my study Bible have been made by these pencils. I mention that only because they write smoothly and don't tear the fine paper found in most Bibles. Buy these! You will not regret it! They are not refillable. But, the lead in the pencil will far outlast the eraser! If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the "clip" meant to attach your pencil to your page or your pocket is very fragile. It will break.

These are the best little mechanical pencils for the price. Other brands where you advance the lead by pushing on the eraser cause to to much lead to come out. Undoubtably you will break some of the lead trying to lower the level, and when it comes to writing the lead in the Paper Mate is stronger and has less breakage. It’s nice to be able to order them in bulk here and not have to wait for a sale at an Office supply store.

I have used these since I was in college and had students use them n my class. They write smoothly and you can write very tiny with them if necessary. I could write three lines in one space on note cards for using on exams. These are the best mechanical pencils for the price.

These aren't the darker gold ("pencil-colored") pencils, and they're not the same. The graphite is harder and doesn't write as well. I wish I hadn't ordered so many. :-( I'd wondered if these lighter yellow ones were the same, but unfortunately not.
