Functionality and sturdiness
The product is defective. There is a front harness with clips on either side that holds up the front part on the body. The clips were defective and unsnapped resulting in my dog falling and being pinned in the device causing him to hyperventilate and have anxiety. The body band is too narrow and moves too easily.

easy to understand and to follow
Bought this for my recent front leg amputee canine who also had weak hind legs. The email instruction were simple, easy to understand and to follow . I assembled without any problems. The Quad 4 , seems to be made from high quality parts . Unfortunately for me my dog was too "stressed" in the cart and wouldn't take to it. The company made no hesitation about the cart being returned . I wish it would have worked for my dog. but would recommend this to anyone needing a great priced , high quality , hospital grade wheel chair for your dog.

Good chair but maybe too difficult
I am torn writing this review. While I think the wheelchair itself is great quality, the instructions (that you have to download - 52 pages) aren't clear at all. The images are so zoomed in that you cannot distinguish parts and the written instructions rely on you following the pictures. The wheelchair comes with a couple harness options, but no instructions advising when to appropriately use each. There are no fitting instructions for the harness to make sure you have the right adjustments for your dog and very little written "tips" to fitting the adjustments of the wheelchair to your dog. The company support was not able to provide a single picture of a dog in the wheelchair for assistance. I recommend looking at the instructions BEFORE you buy. bestfriendmobility.net We one-day shipped it, paid $400, and spent 4 hours assembling it (not even completely sure we have it together right). I did call their support number. They asked me to send pictures of my issues and they would return my call. I did and they did not return my call. They sent an email confirming they received the picture. That said, it does work for our dog who has severe muscle atrophy and cannot use a 2-wheel wheelchair. The large tires on the large model glide easily for her weak front legs to pull. Other wheelchairs have not worked for her. Because she still tries to use her back legs (even though they usually just get in the way and she doesn't control them right), she usually tips over other wheelchairs while her back legs are restrained. The best friend mobility wheelchair is tappered and was balanced enough for her to go running outside for the first time in a while! I gave the chair 3 stars due to assembly. I worry if I have it together right and if my dog is fitted properly in it. I plan to have the veterinarian check the fit so that she doesn't end up with further injury due to faulty fitting in her wheelchair.

Sizing guide is off and WAY too difficult to put together. Look elsewhere.
I followed the sizing guide and the small it’s WAY too big for my pug. He legs don’t even touch the ground with the wheels on the lowest setting. The small is for medium dogs at the least. Putting this thing together made me want to throw a chair through a window. Super frustrating. Instructions aren’t very clear. NOTHING is labeled. Will be returning immediately. Not at all happy. Waste of money and time.

but sturdy thickness. it is appropriately priced compared to other ...
fairly well made. anything coming from china is suspect though. yes, rubber smell is strong out of box. they sent me a bar that was bent and had previous scratches on it. it would not fit in place and i could not complete assembly. never tested with my dog. then didn't need it because he was unable to walk at all anyway. aluminum bars are hollow, but sturdy thickness. it is appropriately priced compared to other canine wheelchairs. i had bought the large size. the wheels were big and sturdy.

I returned easily and they refunded great
Well built and though it was too big and had to be sent back, I returned easily and they refunded great. Would suggest this size for a 25 pound dog.

Do not purc
Terrible purchase. I have a CH puppy and one of my veterinarians advised against this brand and I resisted and tried anyway. The front legs bent and my dog fell forward. It's EXTREMELY top heavy, I had to add back weights from day one and it still tipped forward.
